Spring has Sprung Slimline Window Card and Butterfly Tag

 Good Morning Everyone,

Are you ready for Spring yet? I am so ready for Spring. I love everything about Spring, especially seeing the flowers blooming and butterflies fluttering around. Today I have two beautiful projects that you can create using the Clear Scraps Fancy Window Chipboard Embellishment and the Fancy Butterflies Chipboard Embellishment

Here are the chipboard pieces we will be using. I did use some paper flowers from my stash, ribbons and design papers.

Project #1 - Spring Window Card

First thing I did was paint the Fancy Window Chipboard piece white.

Next I used a sponge and a gray ink pad to add a little bit of ink streaking it downward to give a whitewashed worn look.

Next I added some foam tape to the back edges of the window.

I decided to create a slimline card so I cut my case card and the mats.
Base is 8cx 8 3/4 inches scored at 4 inches. The mats are all cut at 3 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. I did use my scalloped edge slimline die for the top mat of my card.

Next I added a scene to the back of the window and adhered down on top of the card.

I started adding my flowers around the window.

Here is finished Spring Window card. I added a sentiment and fussy cut out a butterfly.
I just love how this card came out. it's so full of Spring goodness with the window scenery.

Project #2 - Spring Butterfly Tag

To begin the Spring Butterfly Tag I painted the Fancy Butterfly Chipboard pieces with white paint.

Next I pulled out my gelatos and colored them. I used yellow, pink, lavender, blue and some other colors to coordinate with the colors of my pattern paper.

In order to get a smooth and blended look on the chipboard butterflies simply take a sponge or a paper towel and smooth out in small circles and you can blend the colors together.

Next I cut out my tag and did some fussy cutting. Adhered on the sentiment with some foam tape behind it, as well as the flowers and paper butterfly.

I adhered my chipboard butterflies and added some ribbon on the top of the tag. I also added a few little flat back pearls to around the tag.

Thank you all for joining me today. I hope this gave you some spring inspiration and how you can use these Fancy Butterflies chipboard pieces along with the Fancy Window Chipboard piece on your upcoming projects. I have the links throughout this blog post for you, simply click on the product name and you will be taken right over to the store.
Have a wonderful day and Happy Crafting.

Pretty Bird Card

Hi everyone,

I am so happy that I am able to take part in this new challenge at International Art & Soul Ch. #77 - Sketch Challenge. For this Challenge you have to follow the sketch, which is below.

This is sketch is so pretty. So when I saw this I knew exactly which paper I wanted to use.
For my card I used Heartfelt Creations Birds and Blooms paper, I just love these little blue birds. I am so ready for Spring. :D
To create the larger flower I used Birds & Blooms stamp and die with pink prills in the middle and shaped with my stylus. For the little flowers I used stamps and dies from Wildwood Cottage Collection, however I embossed the with white embossing powder first and then added rose red momento ink on top of the flower and added the pink pearl in the middle. The foliage is stamped on the green design paper and cut using the dies.

Christmas in July with International Art & Soul

Good Day All,

I am a bit late with my post, I apologize. Today I am sharing my Christmas in July card I created for the new Challenge at International Art & Soul Challenge #62.  I love Christmas in July even though I am totally not ready for Christmas, but it's kind of fun to start creating our Christmas cards and getting into the spirit. However, I know this is the only month I will think of it and then I will turn towards the next crafting project and forget about my Christmas cards until it's too late. lol

For my card I created a  little easel card it measures 4 1/8 x 5 1/2. I used white cardstock as my base, then used burgundy cardstock as a  mat and placed Heartfelt Creations Snow Kissed Collection dp on top. After I had everything placed I looked through my stash and found a super cute stamp & die set by Art Impressions (Hampton Art) it has these cute snowmen w/snowflakes and dies to cut them out.
Once I  cut out my snowman and snowflakes I added glitter to the snowflakes stamped in a light blue, and added glitter to the snowman body and around his clothes. I also added a bit of glitter to the branches and snow mounds.

 Easel card standing up.

For this card I am entering the following challenges:
jingle belles: Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge (below is the card showing what to do to get 3 in a row - I did a snowman, glitter and stamping.)

Choose A Movie Card

Hi all,

Today I am announcing a super fun Challenge over at International Art and Soul - Challenge #50 Choose A Movie. Isn't that a fun theme for a card.

So my card is of Bambi, when he became an adult. This was one of my many favorite movies when I was a child, I even had a few books. lol

For my card I used Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland. I just loved the beautiful deer and the scenery that is in this paper collection. I fussy cut some of the beautiful flowers, blue butterfly and log with the cute rabbits and raccoon. When I created this card I also had in mind to send it to my brother for his birthday coming up in February. I think he will like it.

Bloom with Happiness

Hi Everyone!!

Yeah!! Today we are starting a new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbons our theme "Autumn Colors"  Which I am so looking forward to Fall and all the pretty colors that come along with it, especially since the summer was soooo hot.

So if you joined the Blog Hop in August you know we introduced the Autumn Colors Ribbon Club Assortment. It is perfect for this challenge for sure.

Here is my card for the new challenge:

So for this card I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Collection.
Which I really think is just the perfect ribbon assortment for this paper collection
and its the perfect collection for the Autumn Colors Challenge.

 Isn't this little bow cute??
I used the 3/8"RRR Select Swiss Dots Grosgrain Ribbon Turftan Brown, which is accented with the beautiful butterfly.
For the strip that goes down the card I used 5/8"Square in Square print Satin Ribbon Tangerine.

For this part of the card I fussy cut the sunflowers and layered them on top
of the sunflower image on the cut apart. I placed a little ticket on the side.
For the background I used the 3 of the ribbons from the Autumn Color Assortment.
I really think it adds a nice look to the background. First one is 3/8"Diamond Satin Kiwi Green

From Owl Of Us a HB card

Hello There All,

Hope you had a great weekend. My weekend was pretty good, had my granddaughter over, and visited with my kids. :D  and got some crafting done.

I created this Happy Birthday card for my Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog post today using this month July monthly club assortment "Pink and Purple".
Such a beautiful ribbon collection.

If you love ribbon and creating things with it I suggest you join the monthly ribbon club. You will love getting a new ribbon selection every month, It's like Christmas. lol

Well, Here is my card and everything I used to create it with a small photo tutorial.

First I used the following ribbon on the rosette - 5/8"Geranium Pink Taffeta Ribbon
I have been meaning to do a tutorial but I thought a few still shots might be good too. I plan on doing a tutorial with next months ribbons so stay tuned. :D

Place some double sided adhesive on your paper and cut a circle (any size you decide). Then you want to pleat the ribbon going along the edge of the circle, it also reminds me like when you are fluting a pie crust. I get the middle of my ribbon and start pleating, I try to stay in the middle of the ribbon all the way around the circle but sometimes it gets a little wonky. With the double adhesive you can unravel and redo it. You can also use hot glue but be careful not to burn yourself and I am not sure if you can unravel the ribbon if you need to (I used the double adhesive cause I am always burning my fingers. lol )

Second photo: Once you reach the end of your circle cut your ribbon.

Get some glue and adhere. My favorite glue is glitter art glue. It's sticks great and dries pretty quickly.

For the Front of the card I used 5/8"Lattice Print Satin Ribbon Geranium Pink
So here is the rosette all finished. I used a circle scallop punch and adhered it on top and then added my "happy birthday" on top of the that with the stickles out lining the words for some bling. :D

Here is a close up
I just love the ribbons are so cheery and go so well together with this paper.
I used my  Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool to make the little bow 3/8"Wildflower Grosgrain Ribbon
that is such a cute little ribbon to have in your collection if you like flowers.

For the inside of the card I did a little pocket with a tag showing all the Owls on a tree limb. I thought I would write "From Owl of Us". :D and stick a little gift card in the back.  For the pocket and tag I used these ribbons. 3/8"Geranium Checkerboard Satin Ribbon3/8"Diamond Satin Hyacinth and used a punch to make my scallop edge.

Supplies: Really Reasonable Ribbon - July Club Assortment Pink and Purple
Paper: Heartfelt Creations - Sugar Hallow Collection - You can find at CountryCraftCreations
Pink cardstock from my stash
Ink: Powder Puff chalk ink: Puple Passion
Accessories: scallop punch circle and regular; Stickles - star dust; TH dies - Celebrate; pink eyelet

Sweet Sugar Hallow Mini Album

Good Morning all,

Hope you all are doing well today and preparing for a nice weekend. Yes, it's Super Bowl Weekend and although I don't share a lot on my personal side because it's all about crafting. (lol) I'll tell you, I am a huge Denver Bronco's fan. So having them go to the super bowl is a real treat. (lol) I will definitely be wearing my Bronco gear and hoping they win. :D

Okay, So who is ready for Spring??? Well I am, although it's been a little on the mild side here in North Texas. It's suppose to reach 73 degrees, Whaaattt??? lol  But next week will be cold even if it's in the 40 - 50's the wind makes it unbearable.

Today I am sharing a bit of Spring with you using the New Released Sugar Hallow Collection from Heartfelt Creations. (love, love, love this set)
This 3x3 mini album is a treat for sure. I created it for the Crafty Card Gallery our Theme - Try Something New.

So here we go:
Here is my Project and supplies:
For the the front ofthe book I did fussy cutting(did a lot of fussy cutting throughout)
on the tag and owl from the collection.
The little flowers were sent to me by a friend and I thought would look pretty on the tree.
I inked around the paper edges with Momento ink - Lilac Posies.

Here is the mini album opened

This is the first page fussy cut the tags and added a corner pocket to hold the tag.
I embossed the corner pocket with Anna Griffith - April Garden emboss folder.

Fussy cut the corner flower piece and the little owls on top of the next page.
I just love those little owls. :D

Fussy cut the corner piece to hold the little tag.

A corner piece to hold the owl ticket

Fussy cut the flowers and used as photo corner pieces.

Fussy cut this cute little owl with the pink flowers.
Only the bottom of the flowers re glued down, so you can
stick a photo behind this little owl.

Added this tag piece with pop-dots for a picture or to journal. I also layered him so he is mounted with a pop-dot.

This back piece with the owls sitting on a fence is fussy cut from a tag.
I adhered it as an inside pocket for a photo or tag.

Here are the tags that fit inside the page pockets. They measure 2 1/4 x 3 1/2.
I used Spellbinders Devine Floral Die for the tops of the tags and
sprayed with Color Bloom - Cotton Candy.
