It's A Pool Party

Hi all,

I hope you all are having a crafty great day. OMG! So much has been going on the last few months. We were preparing for my youngest daughter to graduate this year from HS, which happened in May, we had family in town, birthdays, and other graduations to attend to as well. Since school had ended for summer it has all calmed down and being summer it is time to relax, enjoy the sun and maybe a dip or two in the pool. lol
With that being said, today I share with you a card I created for the New Challenge "Pool Party" over at International Art & Soul.

This little card turned out so cute and fun. lol  For this card I used some super old stamps from Stampin' Up. Beach Babies and On the Beach. Boy I've had these in my stash for a loooonnng while, LOL, along with My Mind's Eye "Hootenanny" paper pad. This is also an oldie but goodie. lol

For this card I cut out a cloud shape used as a mask to go around the using Momento Blue Sky ink, I then stamped the sun and a few little waves under the sky and colored in. I stamped a few waves on a separate paper along with the beach ball, boy and girl. Fussy cut the waves & added foam tape to the back of them. I placed them among the other waves and added the boy & girl. I also added the balloon I fussy cut from the pattern paper and placed a bit of foam tape on the back to give a 3D look. Fussy cut out the little sentiment and adhered with foam tape to the top right corner. (I love foam tape, hahahahaaa)

Choose A Movie Card

Hi all,

Today I am announcing a super fun Challenge over at International Art and Soul - Challenge #50 Choose A Movie. Isn't that a fun theme for a card.

So my card is of Bambi, when he became an adult. This was one of my many favorite movies when I was a child, I even had a few books. lol

For my card I used Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland. I just loved the beautiful deer and the scenery that is in this paper collection. I fussy cut some of the beautiful flowers, blue butterfly and log with the cute rabbits and raccoon. When I created this card I also had in mind to send it to my brother for his birthday coming up in February. I think he will like it.

My 1st creations I am sharing a birthday card I created for my daughter's 17th Birthday. Yep, how time flies she is the youngest of 4 girls and Wow!! She only has 2 yrs left and then it will be off to college. So this birthday card I wanted something bright as she loves bright happy colors.

I used Unity Stamp - Party Hat Wishes. This stamps set is so fun. I like that you can color in the sentiment and the party hat.This stamp set comes with a few sentiments, 2 banners, and the party hat, it's a great stamp set. I stamped the party hat with memento ink rich cocoa, colored in the hat with Bic markers. Fussy cut and popped up with a 3D foam dot.

Your Invited For Cake

Hi everyone!

Well today I have a new challenge for you all at One Stitch At A Time Challenge 271 Anything Goes with A Special Day. Come over to join us with all your cards showing how you create a card or project celebrating A Special Day.

For this wonderful challenge I used a digital stamp from the StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store Wonderland Cake designed by CraftyGirl Creations. 

When I saw this stamp I just knew what paper I wanted to use with this stamp Graphic 45 - Hallowe'en in Wonderland Collection, I really think it goes perfectly. 

I decided to do something a little different something a little off from my 

usual using fun colors with my copic markers.  

 Here is a closer look of the stamp and the background of the Tag. I used some fun

items to create my background Tim Holtz distressed paints and inks, BoBunny black gesso

with TH stencil Harlequin and BoBunny Grape Glitter paste. 

Here is a close up of the stamp. 

Applied Glossy Accents to nose and clock. I also used black liquid 

pearls applied around the cake and the gold liquid pearls are applied

 to the chain that links to the clock.

From Owl Of Us a HB card

Hello There All,

Hope you had a great weekend. My weekend was pretty good, had my granddaughter over, and visited with my kids. :D  and got some crafting done. 

I created this Happy Birthday card for my Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog post today using this month July monthly club assortment "Pink and Purple".  

Such a beautiful ribbon collection.

If you love ribbon and creating things with it I suggest you join the monthly ribbon club. You will love getting a new ribbon selection every month, It's like Christmas. lol 

Well, Here is my card and everything I used to create it with a small photo tutorial. 

First I used the following ribbon on the rosette - 5/8"Geranium Pink Taffeta Ribbon

I have been meaning to do a tutorial but I thought a few still shots might be good too. I plan on doing a tutorial with next months ribbons so stay tuned. :D 

Place some double sided adhesive on your paper and cut a circle (any size you decide). Then you want to pleat the ribbon going along the edge of the circle, it also reminds me like when you are fluting a pie crust. I get the middle of my ribbon and start pleating, I try to stay in the middle of the ribbon all the way around the circle but sometimes it gets a little wonky. With the double adhesive you can unravel and redo it. You can also use hot glue but be careful not to burn yourself and I am not sure if you can unravel the ribbon if you need to (I used the double adhesive cause I am always burning my fingers. lol )

Second photo: Once you reach the end of your circle cut your ribbon.

Get some glue and adhere. My favorite glue is glitter art glue. It's sticks great and dries pretty quickly.

For the Front of the card I used 5/8"Lattice Print Satin Ribbon Geranium Pink; 

5/8"Lattice Print Satin Ribbon Hyacinth ; 3/8"Wildflower Grosgrain Ribbon

So here is the rosette all finished. I used a circle scallop punch and adhered it on top and then added my "happy birthday" on top of the that with the stickles out lining the words for some bling. :D

I just love the ribbons are so cheery and go so well together with this paper. 

I used my  Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool to make the little bow 3/8"Wildflower Grosgrain Ribbon

that is such a cute little ribbon to have in your collection if you like flowers. 

For the inside of the card I did a little pocket with a tag showing all the Owls on a tree limb. I thought I would write "From Owl of Us". :D and stick a little gift card in the back.  For the pocket and tag I used these ribbons. 3/8"Geranium Checkerboard Satin Ribbon; 3/8"Diamond Satin Hyacinth and used a punch to make my scallop edge.

Pop It Up!

Good Sunday Morning,

I hope you all are having a beautiful weekend.

Today starts a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time, Anything Goes with 3D (a box, bag, pop up creations or anything 3D)

I have used an image from StitchyBear, Digital Stamp Store created by BBKakes - Babybug Set. I love this little digital stamp set. It comes with 6 images - girl bug, butterfly, snail, ladybug, dragonfly and flower.
It's so cute and so versatile you can use on cards, scrapbook pages and to decorate altered items too.
I used these cute little images on a pop-up card.

I enlarged the images just a little and printed out 3 times on neenha cardstock 

and colored with my copics. I fussy cut the images out and

 then placed them around my card with pop dots. Cute out a 

Happy Birthday sentiment with my Cricut and 

placed on the front of the card.  

Here I popped up some of the images on the inside flap and used felt clouds.

The flowers, Babybug, and snail are all standing up with the tabs cut from the back of the card.

It's a Toy

Hi all,
I hope you all had a great weekend with family and friends. Here is a card I made for my granddaughter's birthday and it was nice to see all the family together to celebrate her 1 year. She is just the cutest. hahhaaa but I am a bit bias. lol
Well I wanted to share with you a card I made using the Cricut Explore. I am liking this machine more and more everday, seriously. :D
I didn't really use it a whole lot in the past years but lately I've been using it a lot. I have some other goodies to share with you all well. (heheheee) Will be posting those soon. :D

The Birthday Card I made is using an image from the cartridge Baby Steps - Toy. The image is just adorable, and so easy to cut.

It Wobbles!! :D 

Here is what the wobble looks like. It has adhesive so 

you can attach it to your image. 

 Here is a close up for you all. :D

The paper I used is from a DCWV stack The Celebration Stack. Awesome stack has so many foiled paper in that stack and tags and cards you can use to make Birthday cards, scrapbooks and altered items.

Other supplies: Candies - flowers circles (candies), googly eyes, and little pompoms, Dot's embossing folder and pink chalk for the cheeks. Colored cs from my paper stash bin.

Roll'n to your Birthday

Hi there,

Today is Quirky Crafts Challenge 9 - Let's go on a Quirky Journey (Traveling/Transportation)
I did a CAS (clean and simple) card. I know right??? I needed to do something quick and simple, so did this with maybe 20 minutes, I also made my own sentiment and cut it into a banner popped up with popup adhesives. I also did the background with water coloring doing streaks so it looks like he is riding his skateboard fast.
Using Distress markers on the whole image. I really like how it turned out.

You Deserve An Ice Cream

Hi all,

Well today I am posting another showcase card I made for One Stitch At A Time.
This one is Daisy Ice Cream Cone designed by CraftyGirl, such a lovely digital stamp and who doesn't like some type of ice cream whether it's creamy ice cream, yogurt ice cream or just regular ice cream. Especially with whip cream and a cherry on top. (Yummmyyy) right?

Well I decided to make a birthday card with this image and placed liquid applique on top with a cherry (glossy accents) and the little daisies are candy on the side with a little candy straw colored in yellow. :D
