Through the Window: Elegant Altered Cigar Box for Tres Jolie Kit Club

Welcome back to Curating Memories!

In today's tutorial we are transforming a plain cigar box into a gorgeous, dimensional keepsake box overflowing with vintage charm using the 2026 June Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie Kit Club. We will use a rich color palette of deep purples, teals, and soft lavenders, this project is perfect for storing your favorite lace, handmade tags, junk journal ephemera, or treasured mementos. So grab your favorite crafting papers and embellishments and adhesives and let's get crafting!

2026 June Scrapbook Kit

To start out I used the purple card stock from the Card, Tag and More Kit and inked edges with distress ink Black Soot. 

After inking all the card stock mats I adhered them onto the outside of the box and the bottom.

Next I cut pattern papers and inked around the edges with the Simon Hurley break-up blue ink from the June Mixed Media Kit and adhered to the sides of the box leaving a nice border around the purple card stock. I just loved this pattern paper with the beautiful lavender and taupe colored swags they are so elegant. I used this paper for the outside of the box and the inside covering.

Next I used the solar paste from the 2026 June Mixed Media Kit and applied to the feather chipboard pieces. These turned out so good. 

Here is a photo of the top of the box decorated. I added foam tape to the back of the window and cut down the window to fit the top of the box nicely, in the video tutorial I share how to do that. I adhered the beautiful purple dress to the pattern paper that has the lovely chandelier. I then added the metal piece from a previous kit to the bottom and the chipboard feathers and flowers to the outside of the window. I added a little lace at the edge of the box for the opener.

Here is the inside lid of the box. I added some of the beautiful shabby chic ephemera along with the metal corner pieces from a previous kit.

Here is the inside of the keepsake box all finished. 

This keepsake box is elegantly created with the architectural window piece that looks into a vintage boutique scene complete with a chandelier and gown. We embellished this beautifully using the shades of violet and slate blue along with the layered feather chipboard pieces and antique-style metal filigree accents. This altered cigar box is perfect for storing treasured mementos, jewelry, or handmade items and ephemera pieces.

Lavender Dress & Florals Mixed Media Canvas for Tres Jolie Kit Club

Welcome back everyone!

Today we are diving deep into paper layering and mixed media to crate this gorgeous, lavender vintage canvas using the 2026 June Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie Kit Club. If you love whimsical glam with shabby chic or vintage aesthetic you are going to love this project. We'll be combing beautiful distressed ephemera, frames, and floral clusters to build a textured masterpiece.

2026 June Scrapbook Kit 2026 June Mixed Media Kit

First we are going to paint the chipboard frame with black paint or gesso. I used black gesso. Set aside to dry.

Next we are going to cover the canvas with one of the design papers from the 2026 June Scrapbook Kit. I chose this beautiful lavender one with dresses on it. Place adhesive down on the top portion of the canvas first, adhere the paper, and burnish down. Then do the bottom half of the canvas and burnish down.

Next tape down you stencil where you would like the flowers.

Next I took both Solar Pastes from the 2026 June Mixed Media Kit and added some re-inker ink to each one, the royal flush and the deep end. (View Video Tutorial for more details)

Next use either a sponge or dauber to apply the solar paste to each flower.

For the leaves I used a green ink pad and for the swirls I used vintage photo distress ink.

Here is the finished stencil.

After the chipboard frame dries I added the Solar Paste Royal Flush to the the frame. You can apply with dauber, finger or paint brush. I used a dauber and fingers. Use a toothpick to get the paste out of the opened areas for a clean look to the frame.

Next adhere the frame over your stenciled flowers and start decorating your canvas. I also applied Solar Paste Royal Flush to the dress, bow on the top of the frame and a few other areas around the canvas.

then added gold stickels.

DIY Stationery For Everyday Moments.

 Hi everyone, 

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Today I have another fun crafty project for you using the December Scrapbook Kit along with some items from the December Card, Tag, and More Kit. I have the links below for you for both kits. I also have a video tutorial for you as well as the step by step down below. 

December Scrapbook Kit                                             December Card, Tag, and More Kit

To start our Stationery Book, cut one piece of cardstock at 12 x 9 1/4 inches and one piece of cardstock at 4 x 9 1/4 inches. 

Next place 1/2 inch tape on the right side edge of the paper. 

Attach the 4 x 9 1/4 inch piece to the tape. 

Next to create your spine fold your piece of paper in half and place the crease on the 6 inch spot of the scoreboard. Then score at 5 1/4 and 6 3/4 inches. Burnish down the score lines and you should a spine  just like the photo below. 

Now we are going to create a pocket to hold journals, cards, envelopes, large tags or notepads. Cut one piece of cardstock at 8 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches.  With the 8 1/4 inch across the score board score 1 inch on the left side and right side. Turn the paper to the 9 1/4 inch side across the scoreboard and score at 3 and 4 inches. 

On the left and right side where the you scored the at 3 and 4 inches are little squares cut a slit to the first score line as shown below.  These are little tabs that will fold in to form our pocket. 

Now burnish down all the score lines. Next fold the bottom up and adhere the small tabs into the long tabs. You should have a pocket just like the photo below. ***(You can also watch the video to get more details.)

Now you can use your pattern paper to cover the inside and the pocket we created. ***(You can also watch the video to get more details.)

Before covering the front and back of the Stationery Book adhere down some lace or ribbon for your closure. 

Here is the book covered. 

To create the pen holder cut a piece of cardstock at 3 1/2 x 5, Score at 1/2 inch and at 1 inch on the left and right side, turn to the 5 inch laying across the score board and score at 1/2 inch and 1 inch. 

Next cut off the 3 corner squares and the cut a small slit up to the first score line in between the long tab and the small square tab. Burnish all the score lines and adhere the small tab inward to the long tabs and the small rectangle one on the bottom folds up.  ***(You can also watch the video to get more details.)

Next create two small pockets, these will go on the left side of the Stationery Book.

Cut two pieces of cardstock at 2 1/4 x 5, score 1/2 inch on left, right side turn and score 1/2 inch down. Burnish all the score lines down. And you can cover with pattern paper. 

Here is how you lay down the pen holder and the two small pockets.

Inside I placed two cards which were from the Card Kit. I used the Scrapbook paper to decorate them. 

I had a couple of small paper journals in my stash. I covered and decorated them. 

Here is the finished front of the Stationery Book.

Vintage Orchard Large Fall Tag Album/Journal

Hi Crafty Peeps, 

I can't believe it's almost the end of October, boy time sure goes by fast. With Fall getting in full swing I created a Large Tag Mini Album that you can create using the October Scrapbook Kit. This Fall album is chalk full of all the laser cut embellishments, all the pattern paper I only have a few scraps left. With this Tag Album you can use it as a journal as well, by adding pages and other items to keep your fun Fall memories for this year. I have the video tutorial for you below which gives you more details and I have a step by step for you below as well the links for you to head to the Tres Jolie Shop to grab this kit that features 49 and Market Vintage Orchard Collection. 

October Scrapbook Kit

To begin out Album cut two pieces of chipboard and pattern papers at 6x7 3/8. Cut 5 more pattern papers at 5 7/8 x 7 1/4 inches these will be your pages. .

I distressed the edges of all the pages and inked with vintage photo ink. Once you cut the angles to form your tag punch with your planner disc punch or a hole punch to use metal rings. 

Adhere pattern paper papers to the front and back of your chipboard pieces. 

Next you can place in your planner disc's. 

Next we will be creating a waterfall cut out 6 pieces of pattern paper at 4x5, and use your scraps to cut 1 inch pieces, score at 1/2 inch. These will be the hinges of our waterfall. 

Adhere the one side of the hinge to the back of your waterfall piece with the fold at the top edge of your mat. 

Next adhere the the mat down by placing adhesive to the flap 

Place the flap down on your page. 

Next adhere the second mat right underneath the flap you just glued down. And do this for the others as well. You will 3 mats on the left page and 3 mats on the right side page. 

For the closure you will need 8 magnets all together, 4 on each side. 

Down below on the left side you see 2 magnets on the bottom. 

Next place two magnets over those magnets on top. 

Next use one of the cut-a-part cards and adhere those on top by pressing the card down on your magnets to they adhere to the correct spot. This will be your closure for both sides of your waterfall. 

This is finished waterfall.
