Vintage Christmas Cards for Tres Jolie

 Merry Christmas everyone, 

Today I have some wonderful Christmas cards you can create using the wooden planks from the printers tray in the 2025 December Mixed Media Kit along with the 2025 December Card Kit. I have all the links below with the step by step tutorial and video tutorial for your convenience.

To start we are gonna prep some of our items before decorating the cards. All cards are A2 cards which measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. I cut all my pattern paper down to fit the front of cards leaving a 1/8 inch border. 

Below are a few of the wooden planks we are using. The 2 of small rectangles, the small rectangle, small square and the medium square. 

For the small rectangles use the Distress Oxide Walnut Stain for inking them. 

Next the small longer rectangle cover with the music sheet pattern paper and ink the edges. 

I used vintage photo ink.

Next the smaller square I inked all over using the Vintage Photo ink.

Tear some pattern paper and adhere to the top and bottom of the wooden plank, leaving the middle opened. 

On the larger wooden square paper and file the sides to create a worn look. Then ink edges and adhere a red doily to the left side. 

This card is horizontal and again the card sizes are all A2 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. 

I adhered down my pattern paper then adhered the wood plank on top. I added some Tim Holtz Christmas ephemera on top and popped up the sleigh with foam tape, and that is all.

For this card I cut around the rectangle ephemera pieces and them adhered to the wood planks we sprayed earlier with the Distress Oxide Walnut Stain. I then adhered down the wooden planks, one over the top left side and the other to the bottom right side. I then added the red "Best Wishes" ephemera piece in the middle with foam tape and then added the remaining ephemera around. 

This card I just love the simplicity of it. I adhered down the wooden plank in the center of the card. I added some of the poinsettia ephemera on top and the little vase flowers on the bottom.  That's it. 

The last card I covered the chipboard banner and cut off the excess paper. I then adhered a sentiment to the top and then adhered the wooden plank covered with music pattern paper to the middle of the card. I adhered some ephemera around it. 

I hope you found some inspiration to use the 2025 December Card, Tag and More Kit along with the 2025 December Mixed Media Kit. These cards are so simple to make and they turned out beautifully. You could even add stickels or glitter or other embellishments on them.

DIY Christmas Candy Holders and Cards for Tres Jolie

 Hi everyone, 

As we approach Christmas and our 2025 December Tres Jolie Club Kits are Christmas themed I decided to create some fun and easy DIY Christmas Candy Holders for you. One is an easy DIY small candy box and the other is a easy Candy Booklet. Bothe are great for gift giving or stocking stuffers for kids and adults. I hope you get some inspiration and check out the step by step tutorial below and the video tutorial which always shows you more details.  As always I have the links below for you to check out the items I used. 

 

2025 December Card, Tags and More Kit

To start off we are going to be using the red 12x12 card stock to create a box or you could use the white cardstock. Cut your cardstock at 8 1/2 x  8 1/2 inches. I have a photo below of where to score and how your small candy box should be cut. 

If you are creating with the red cardstock here is what the finished one should look like . 

Next I am using one of the ephemera frames to create a window in the lid of the box. So I used the frame to trace the oval and then cut out. 

After you cut our the oval adhere the acetate to the inside of the lid. 

Next to cover over the acetate, cut a piece of pattern paper and trace the frame oval again just like the lid. Cut out and adhere over the oval. (as shown below)  Then adhere the side flaps to inside of the box. And now you can decorate. 

Here is the box decorated and ready for gift giving. 

For our second our candy holder we are creating and easy Candy Booklet. Below are the measurements for the Candy Booklet. Super easy. 

Next cut about 12 inches off of the ribbon inside the Card Kit. This will be your closure. Cut in half and adhere one half to the front of the booklet and the other half to the back of the booklet. (as shown below)

Next cover the outside and inside of the booklet. I also used scraps from the pattern papers to cover the front and inside of the spine areas. 

Next I used the red scraps left over from the first project to create these candy holders. 

Cut the papers 2 1/4 x 3 1/2, Score 1 3/4 & 2 1/4 turn longways and Score 1/2 inch on the left and right side. 

After you scored all 8 pieces cut in between the score lines, fold and adhere the flaps to the inside. (as shown on the left side)

After you get all your small boxed put together adhere them down side by side, as shown below. Place your candy inside and decorate the front. 

Here is the finished front of the booklet I decorated using the Tim Holtz Christmas ephemera. 

Down below I have created some small Christmas to go with these little Christmas Candy Holders. These cards are created using the 3 x 8 inch scraps. They are small but these little cards are super cute and you can still decorate them using the Tim Holtz Christmas ephemera inside the December Card Kit. For more details you can watch the video tutorial.

Christmas Time Printers Tray for Tres Jolie

 Hi everyone,

I created a Christmas printers tray using the 2025 December Mixed Media Kit along with the 2025 December Scrapbooking Kit along with using red and green paints from the 2025 August Mixed Media Kit (available). This makes such a fun and festive home decor for Christmas. I hope you enjoy the step by step tutorial as well as the video tutorial. I have all the links down below for your convenience.

2025 August Mixed Media Kit (available)

First I painted the holly & bells chipboard pieces using the 2025 August Mixed Media Kit paint. Set aside to dry, then cam back in to paint the little markings in gold using a toothpick.

The chipboard clock I used the Distress Oxide Spray Walnut Stain and painted the numerals with gold paint using a toothpick. 

 

I did add stickels on top of the painted red berries for a bit of sparkle. I just love how the chipboard pieces turned out. 

Here I added a trimmed ephemera piece to the center of the clock once dried. And I added a holly & berry along side the clock. 

In the center of the frame you see the frame I painted gold, this frame is from the 2025 November Scrapbook Kit. Also painted the bells gold and holly and berries. 

To get started adhere the a pattern paper from the Scrapbook Kit to the base platform from the printers tray. 

Next spray frame with the Distress Oxide Stain Walnut Stain.

Then add water to the Mica bottle halfway, shake. Then get a paper towel and place some mica on it and rub along the top of the frame.

Adhere the frame to the top of the platform. 

Once you have your frame on there you can start decorating. I added the 3 of the little Santa cards together and a tree I added thick cardboard on the back of the tree. I also added faux snow to a few of the framed areas. 

On the right hand side I added the some velvet ribbon I had in my stash, and I adhered the silver medal snowflake pieces to the framed area. I flatted out the back of the tree and adhered down with hot glue and added thick cardboard to the back of the snowman and adhere down on the faux snow.

Here is the finished frame.

I just love how this Printers Tray turned out, it makes a wonderful festive and beautiful Christmas Home Decor. You can definitely hang this up or place on a shelf or mantel. Merry & Bright Christmas Cards for Tres Jolie Kit Club

 Welcome Back everyone,

Are you getting ready for Christmas and creating those Christmas Cards? Well today we are going to create some unique and fun Christmas cards, you can give out for Christmas. These cards are so fun and easy to create using the 2025 November Card Making Kit along with the Mixed Media Kit. I hope you enjoy todays step by step tutorial and as always I have the video tutorial for you as well. I have links below for your convenience.

2025 November Card, Tag and More Kit 2025 November Mixed Media Kit

                         

*******For Cards #1 and Card #2 cut your card to a A2 size card and mats for layering. ********

Card #1

To start card #1 take the lip balm holder (from my stash) place down on the backside of your top card mat, trace around the sticker, then cut around the traced area. *****View video for more details*****

Next place the mat over the lip balm holder, to make sure it fits.

To adhere this top card mat only add adhesive to the top portion of the mat.                                  *****View video for more details*****

Lay down the top portion on your mat and slip the lip balm holder underneath to make sure it lines up well with the cut out. Next adhere down the lip balm holder and adhere down the remaining portion of the top mat. 

Burnish down really well. 

Next decorate the card with the 2025 November Card Kit embellishments. 

Card #2

Again this card is a standard A2 size card and I cut out all mats about an 1/8th inch down for layering on top of one another. I adhered all layers on top and then adhered the lip balm holder to the top layer. 

Here is what the top of the card should look like after placing the lip balm holder down on top.

Next I used my hot glue to adhere trim around the lip balm holder.

Then I decorated with the Card Kit embellishments and used a stamp from my stash. 

Card #3

For card #3 I used a distress crayon to color in the filagree images on the collage paper. I did use my fingers to blend out the red in some areas. 

After coloring I chose a pattern paper and added some collage medium on top to glue down the collage paper we just colored. 

Once you adhere down the collage paper onto the pattern paper cut excess pattern paper off. 

Then get a small paint brush and use the collage medium to go around the white areas of the collage paper to adhere down and to bring the background out a bit from the pattern paper. 

Next I added some of this Diamond Shimmer Dust received from a Tres Jolie Kit last year. You can use glitter or stickels. I added this shimmer dust to some of the filagree areas for extra sparkle. 

I let the glitter dry for a bit and then decorated the card with the embellishments from the Card Kit. 

Card #4

With this last card, Card #4, cut a piece of cardstock at 11x6inches; Score at 3 and 6, then cut a 1 inch off the bottom of the card. 

Next grab some of your scraps and lay them and adhere them down to the front and middle panel of the card. Cover the back with scraps or you can cut out a pattern paper from the the Simple Stories paper pad. 

Next brush on some the collage medium and adhere a piece of the collage paper to the end of the back panel of the card. ****View video tutorial for more details**********

Next brush the collage medium over the collage paper to adhere on. Cut excess paper off. 

Next take the white strip that you cut, which is the 1 inch from the bottom of the card. Cover the strip with collage medium first place on you collage papers, seal with the collage medium and use Distress Mica Stain Sprays to color the strip. If needed blot the excess spray, spray again, blot and continue to do this process until you reach your desired color. ******View video tutorial for more details***

Next take the longer end the adhere to the bottom of the front panel.

Adhere the smaller end to the bottom of the back penal. (as shown below)

Here is what the card should look like once you are done, and its decorated. 

To decorate my card I fussy cut out the door from a cut apart card and used foam tape for lifting and adhered the glitter wreath. I then used on the decorative bells for the middle panel and the large ephemera piece for the back panel. On the strip I placed little items that are from the ephemera pack and that I fussy cut out from tags and cards.
