Adventure Is Waiting Canvas

 Good Moring everyone,

So good to be here with y'all again. Today I have a really fun and quick project for you using the March 2024 Mixed Media Kit from Tres Jolie. This canvas was so quick to create and so fun. I love using the mixed media kit along with other items from the Card, Tag and More Kit and Scrapbooking Kit. I know you are going to love this fun quick project.

As always I have a step by step tutorial for you sharing the video process along with some photos below for your convenience.

Here is what I used to create this canvas

Mixed Media Kit                                          Card, Tag and More Kit    used frame

Scrapbooking Kit used chipboard key, the natural flowers, and cloches

To start I used the Stamperia Glamour Gel first. Just brushing it on over the canvas. Next I took the TCW Seafoam Stencil Butter along with the Creative Expressions Slimline Stencil from the February Mixed Media Kit and applied the butter in different areas of the canvas.

Make sure the stencil butter is dry as it will smear, just a tip as mine smeared a bit. Next I applied the LindysGang Magical bayou boogie gold around the canvas and wiping it around. Set aside to dry

I cut out the one of the clocks from the rice paper and adhered to chipboard circle to place inside the pocket watch.

I then cut another clock from the rice paper and adhered on top of the previous clock and placed the clock inside.

For this part use the chipboard frame from the Card, Tag and More Kit and place glue to the oval which is the center of the frame. Then place behind the lady and burnish down.

Grab the frame and place over the oval until it fits.

Next turn over and add a bit of water to a towel and rub some water around the rice paper and tear off.

Take the frame off and add glue to the inside center of the frame and place frame back on the oval piece. This will keep the frame on the rice paper.

Next I took the Glamour Gel and brushed over the frame and key.

I used the Magical bayou boogie gold powder put some down and added a bit of water, just a drop of two as you want it little dark. I then brushed on the frame in certain areas and some over the image to create a rust look on the edges. I did the same with the chipboard key from the scrapbook kit.

I added everything together on the canvas. I did back up the words with chipboard, you can view the video tutorial as it will show all whole process from beginning to end.

Thank you all for joining me today I hope you liked today's mixed media project. It was so fun to create this canvas and play around with the items inside this Mixed Media Kit.
I have links throughout the post here and above showing the kits.
Have a great day and Happy Crafting.

Bohemian Heart Mixed Media Canvas

 Good Morning everyone,

I am back with another beautiful canvas project for Tres Jolie using the January Mixed Media Kit. I also included the January Scrapbook Kit as well, along with a few other items. I have all the links down below for all the items I used for this project. I really like how this canvas turned out. I hope you enjoy the step by step tutorial below and video tutorial.

Here are the supplies I used for this canvas - Mixed Media January 2024 Kit. I also used the January Scrapbook kit 2024 along with the flowers from the October Scrapbook Kit 2023 and the Chipboard Natural Flower Set 1 and the Butterfly from the CardMaking Kit 2024.

So let's get started. The fist thing is to apply Modpodge to the canvas.

Place the Stamperia rice paper on top of the canvas and burnish down

Flip the canvas over and take a paper town with a bit of water on it. Go around the canvas with wet paper towel and pull the excess rice paper away from the edges.

You can also use away any excess paper.

Next I used the distress vintage photo ink and inked the doily from the Scrapbook Kit 2024. Afterward I used a script stamp from my stash to stamp on the side of the doily.

Once I was done stamping the doily I used the versa mark all over the doily.

I then sprinkled the Distress speckled egg glaze all over the doily. This Distress Glaze is found in this month Mixed Media Kit January 2024.

Used the heat tool to set the embossing glaze

Glue down the doily and trim away the excess pieces from the edge of the canvas.
Here you see I painted the Flower Set 1 chipboard piece and the butterfly wings with white paint.

Now use the versa mark on the flower portion of the chipboard piece.

To create a two tone look sprinkle the speckled egg glaze on top of the petals and sprinkle the tattered rose on the lower half of the flower.

Use the heat tool to set the glaze on the flower. I did this process twice to get a more colored look to the chipboard piece.

For the stem of the flower I inked down the stem using Distress vintage photo ink, then took the versa mark inked up the stem and sprinkled pumice stone and heat set it.

Here is the chipboard butterfly I used from the Cardmaking Kit January 2024, I colored in the body with a marker and I will do the same process to the wings as we did for the flower.

Used the versa mark first then, sprinkled on some speckled egg. Now heat set with the heat tool.

Now it's time to decorate. I took two of the ephemera cards from the January 2024 Scrapbook Kit and roughed the edges up and inked with distress vintage photo ink. I placed one a little behind the doily and the horse card sits in front. I placed some foam tape on the spoon to have it raised just a bit. You will need a little piece of foam tape on the back of the charm so it stays in place.

I also adhered down the flower chipboard piece.

Next I cam in with these beautiful flowers from the October 2023 Kit. Here is where you can use past supplies from other kits or use the flowers from this months Scrapbook Kit 2024

I adhered the butterfly chipboard piece and now we are all done.

I hope you enjoyed todays canvas project as I used this January 2024 Mixed Media Kit while incorporating other items from other kits.
