It's A Pool Party

Hi all,

I hope you all are having a crafty great day. OMG! So much has been going on the last few months. We were preparing for my youngest daughter to graduate this year from HS, which happened in May, we had family in town, birthdays, and other graduations to attend to as well. Since school had ended for summer it has all calmed down and being summer it is time to relax, enjoy the sun and maybe a dip or two in the pool. lol
With that being said, today I share with you a card I created for the New Challenge "Pool Party" over at International Art & Soul.

This little card turned out so cute and fun. lol  For this card I used some super old stamps from Stampin' Up. Beach Babies and On the Beach. Boy I've had these in my stash for a loooonnng while, LOL, along with My Mind's Eye "Hootenanny" paper pad. This is also an oldie but goodie. lol

For this card I cut out a cloud shape used as a mask to go around the using Momento Blue Sky ink, I then stamped the sun and a few little waves under the sky and colored in. I stamped a few waves on a separate paper along with the beach ball, boy and girl. Fussy cut the waves & added foam tape to the back of them. I placed them among the other waves and added the boy & girl. I also added the balloon I fussy cut from the pattern paper and placed a bit of foam tape on the back to give a 3D look. Fussy cut out the little sentiment and adhered with foam tape to the top right corner. (I love foam tape, hahahahaaa)

I hope you join us for this fun Pool Party Challenge. Don't forget you can enter anything a card, canvas, scrapbook layout, or whatever type of project you desire just stick to the theme. okay.

Helloo Deer

Hi all,

Hope you all are having a wonderful week. It's been a busy week so far and a little cooler here in Texas with temps in the 80's. :D  I hope you all are doing okay. I am here sharing a card I created for my some upcoming birthdays this fall so to start it off I created this masculine card.

Here is my card -

Today I have a wonderful masculine card for you all. A simple layout and using a couple of ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbons that were perfect for this masculine card. I used 1.5" Brown Netting . I like how it added a bit of texture to the background and then I used the Textured Two-Tone Brown/Antique Gold with a gold button in the middle.
I really like how this card looks rustic, it turned out really cool with the ribbons and paper together. And the deer photo coordinates perfectly with the Textured Two-Tone Brown/Antique Gold.  I just love that ribbon it's so pretty but adds a great touch to a masculine card.

I used 1.5" Brown Netting as part of my background again.
I think it adds a really nice texture to the inside of the card as well.

Supplies: Really Reasonable Ribbons -  1.5" Brown Netting Textured Two-Tone Brown/Antique Gold
Paper: DCWV - The Rustic Stack; Ultimate Tag Stack
Ink: PowderPuff - Amareto
Stamps: Stamp in Up stamps that were in my stash
Accessories: Stickles - champagne, gold button, TH ideaology - industrious stickers - Gallery (corner pieces)

Keep It Cool with Ice Cream

Good Morning all,

Hope you are having a great day. Today I am up over on the Crafty Card Gallery and our theme is Keeping it Cool. Yep, with temps so hot here in Texas I thought what better way to keep cool than to share some ice cream with you all.  :D   I hope you all are trying to keep cool, with some type of Yummy Treats.

Here is my YUMMY card -  For this card I used an ice cream stamp but I only stamped the cones all over my white card stock first, then I did the ice cream parts, fussy cut them out and used 3d adhesive to create a 3d look. I used some stickers from the sticker page from Echo Park - A Perfect Summer collection around the ice cream cones and used the little kit too, I thought it was cute. Well I hope you find some inspiration from this card. It was pretty easy and so fun to create using this theme - Keeping it Cool.
Supplies:
Paper - Echo Park - A Perfect Summer by Lori Whitlock; Pink and white cardstock
Stamps - Heidi Grace stamp (no name on the package); Stamp Of Life - Watermelon 2 Stamp - sentiment - "Happy Summer"
Inks - Stampin Up ink pads and markers
Accessories - Stampin Up label punch (placed the sentiment) ; Corner rounder punch

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you were inspired to in making a sweet treat card for summer time. Wish you all a great week.

Valentine's Cards for Operation Valentine's

Hi all,

I finally posted my 2 video regarding the 50 Valentine's Cards I made for Mel B's Operation Valentines.
Please take a look at my YouTube video and subscribe once I reach 100 followers I will have a prize. I am also looking to increase my blog followers too.

In this video I take items that I already had in my stash to use to make 50 cards. You will see many different style of cards, some that I had in my card case for years and I gave them an upgrade. I used different techniques from tearing paper and adding embellishments you have on hand to using my gelatos to create a beautiful look to your Valentine's cards. I also used sprays from Tim Holtz, Color Bloom and Heidi Swap to create a look that is very stunning.

If you have any questions or would like to see a video/tutorial on how to make some of these cards please leave me a comment.

Crisp Air Of Aututmn

Good Morning All,

Well I am here to tell you I have joined a new design team, Crafty Card Gallery Design.
Crafty Card provides tons of ideas and inspiration, if you ever need an idea hop on over to their site for inspiration. All cards and creations are handmade by the Designers.

For my first project I made a card using wonderful fall colors, the them this month is Butterflies but I added a tree too. The little butterfly was from a facebook friend that I did a butterfly swap with this summer. She made several butterflies and then I made some for her. I thought this little yellow one was perfect for today's card.
Hope you like my card. I wanted something simple but soft. First I stamped my sentiment then used versa mark for the tree image then used copper embossing powder on the tree image. After that I used my TH distress inks over the images. Distressed the edges of the stamped images. Dry embossed the card base.

Supplies:
Paper: SU - Old Olive; Kraft paper and cream
Ink:TH distress inks - barn door, tea dye, mustard seed, spiced marmalade; mowed lawn
Stamps:SU Lovely as a Tree stamp set; Stampabilities - Lords Prayer
Accessories: Green ribbon from stash (received in a kit); bronze brads; Copper embossing powder; Paper Studios-Wood Grain;
