I Love My CAT Folio (Pictures)

Hi all,

Well I have been down with the flu for the last few days. So this was the soonest I could post my I Love My CAT Folio I created for my daughter.
For this Folio I used Echo Parks CAT paper collection and Echo Park Pretty Kitty Stamp Set throughout the book. The stamp set is so cute and loved how it looked in the little journaling booklets I created. I hope you like everything. This is actually my first Folio I've ever done and I had so much fun creating it. Loved how it turned out and it's totally cat approved as my daughter's cat Jack was giving it a good inspection. lol

Here is how we ended up with Jack in our family. As my oldest daughter was driving home one day from work she saw something fly across her windshield and hit the corner bumper of her car. She pulled over to inspect what it was and saw that it was a kitten. Thank goodness she didn't run over him. Poor little guy was shaking. So she picked him up and brought him home. Of course we had two dogs at the time and although we liked cats we weren't planning on getting any more pets cause everyone is out of the house except our youngest who will graduate next year. Well needless to say after pleading and multiple and multiple crying from our youngest daughter, we gave in to keep the lil'fella. Poor lil guy had been thrown out onto the highway into on coming traffic and his nose was bleeding and his eye was a little scratched but that was it and being scared out of his wits. Well he is over a year old now and I have to say he has won our hearts. He is the best little cat and we just love him dearly. So when I saw this paper collection I just had to make a book for my daughter and Jack. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Wishing You Comfort Sympathy Card

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all are good. I have missed blogging. I have been busy with family and other crafty stuff. 😁
But I have set some new goals this year and will be blogging more. I also will be sharing some of my past crafting items that I can't wait for you to see. 😍 I hope you tune in to check them out.

Today I am sharing a beautiful sympathy card I created using some items from my stash. We are having an Awesome Challenge over at International Art & Soul, Challenge #26 TEXTURE.
Join this fun challenge sharing your project using any type of Texture you want.

I love using Texture in my cards. I think it really adds a unique look and feel to any project even scrapbook pages.
My favorite techniques to do is to paint chipboard and play with flower soft. Here is my card using some burlap under my chipboard pieces I painted with Distress paint and added some beautiful flower soft.
The little sentiment is a cut apart I fussy cut from Photo Play's "Thinking of You" paper collection and the wooden paper behind it is from Sn@p 6x6 paper pad.

This inside of the card I used a sticker as my sentiment. This paper collection comes with sentiment stickers, which is awesome, especially if you don't have any sympathy stamps.

Christmas Stocking Card

Hi all,

I am sharing a Christmas card with you all today. Christmas will be here before we know it, right? So to get a little jump on my Christmas cards I created for this weeks challenge at International Art & Soul our theme is Add a tag or a charm. 

Here is my card:

Here is the card I created for the challenge. I used Carta Bella

"A Very Merry Christmas" paper collection. I used seambinding red, 

white and green. I added some silver stickels around the tag I created, 

and around the outline of the stocking. 

I also placed a small charm in the center of the stocking.

Simple quick and easy card and not very many supplies needed.

Wedding Wishes

Hi Y'all!!

Well I am back!! I have not posted in a long while due to work and other obligations. I hope you all are doing well. I sure have missed you all and missed crafting. I've had a lot going on since my last post in October. I have a new little granddaughter Ravyn that was born July 12th and I have quit a job to take on another position where I am able to stay at home now. :D  So with that being said I have created a new card for my niece who is getting married in August, she also had a baby last year. She's so precious, too. The card I created is for the International Art & Soul Dies Challenge.

So here is my card,

Very simple yet elegant card. As I said I just started creating again after many months of taking off from card making and doing many other crafting. It was like starting all over again. lol
I have to say I really enjoyed getting a chance to play again, I really needed it.
This card is made with several layers. I have the card base using cream vanilla cardstock and a carol cardstock using the Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty-Five, and of course some beautiful flowers. I also used an old stamp set from Stampin Up - Wedding Elegance, I am so glad I have kept this one definitely comes in handy. (links are posted below where I got some of my supplies)

**To make this card I layered the carol base on top of the cream card base, then layered the first die cut on top of the carol base, the second carol die cut has 3D pop dots on the back to give a raised look and the last die cut I lightly stamped the wedding bells and embossed the "Wedding Wishes" on top of the bells, placed 3D pop dots again on the back and placed down. I added the multi flowers I had from my stash, which were the same colors that were on her wedding invite. I hope she likes it.

Here is the inside of the card - For the inside of the card I added a photo from the

"Save the Date Invite" I thought it was so sweet and definitely added a lovely

personal touch to the inside of the card.

Your Invited For Cake

Hi everyone!

Well today I have a new challenge for you all at One Stitch At A Time Challenge 271 Anything Goes with A Special Day. Come over to join us with all your cards showing how you create a card or project celebrating A Special Day.

For this wonderful challenge I used a digital stamp from the StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store Wonderland Cake designed by CraftyGirl Creations. 

When I saw this stamp I just knew what paper I wanted to use with this stamp Graphic 45 - Hallowe'en in Wonderland Collection, I really think it goes perfectly. 

I decided to do something a little different something a little off from my 

usual using fun colors with my copic markers.  

 Here is a closer look of the stamp and the background of the Tag. I used some fun

items to create my background Tim Holtz distressed paints and inks, BoBunny black gesso

with TH stencil Harlequin and BoBunny Grape Glitter paste. 

Here is a close up of the stamp. 

Applied Glossy Accents to nose and clock. I also used black liquid 

pearls applied around the cake and the gold liquid pearls are applied

 to the chain that links to the clock.

When a Bell Rings....

Happy Sunday Morning!

I hope you all are doing well. Things are going good here. I have a new card to share with you all this wonderful morning. One Stitch At A Time New Challenge 270 Anything Goes with Lace and/or Pearls. I invite you to join us for this wonderful challenge showing us some of those beautiful laces and pearls you got in your stash.

For this card I used the sweet image created by Digi Blessings - Angel Bells.

Isn't this image just so sweet? Cute little mouse ringing a bell, and the 

sentiment is just perfect. I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags for the sentiment 

with stickles mercury glass and a couple of pearls. 

 To create the frame around the image is Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25.

I used a little gold cord to tie up the bell, so the mouse looks like he is 

pulling the ribbon to ring the bell. I also used stickles crystals for the bell, 

mouse wings, and halo. To color the mouse I used my spectrum nior colored pencils. 

The paper is the beautiful Authentique Classic Christmas. (I showed this paper

in one of my DT Haul Youtube videos)

For the embellishments I created a lace rosette and a lace border using pearls

that are placed along the top of the lace.

Mason Jar Mini Album Quick & Easy

Hi everyone!!

Today I am sharing my Design Team Project using this super cute idea you make in one day. Do you get the kits from Country Craft Creations?? Well if you do, you can use those cute little chipboard mason jars you got in July's Kit and the BoBunny Secret Garden paper collection to make this little mini album.
In my last video about 2 weeks ago I showed you how to use the BoBunny Gesso as a paste with your stencil to make a pattern on the front of your chipboard then you can add the BoBunny pearlescents on top of the stenciled pattern to create a really lovely mixed media cover. You can also use the pearlescents to create a unique look to your metal embellishments and resins.

Butterfly Kisses Micro Mini Brag Book

Hi all,

Today I am sharing a little Micro Mini Brag Book you can fit wallet size photo's inside. It actually fits in the palm of your hand. Such a great gift to give for sending someone pictures that they can keep and carry around with them.

I used the beautiful BoBunny Beautiful Kisses I received from Tamra's store CountryCraftCreations.com. So if you see anything you like or want to see head on over to her store she's got some fabulous items even some kit boxes - Craftology boxes.

Well I hope you all like it. As always I will tell you in detail what I used.

So first the front and back cover are 2 1/4 in x 2 1/2 in. ; The little tags are 1 7/8in 3 3/4 inches and fold in half. The mason jars are fussy cut from the 12x12 sheet. and adhered on to the little tags. If you watch the video below you see how the tags were completed. I used a brad to secure the chain I used for the front and back. I also used the sticker sheet from the 12x12 stack to fussy cut the little mason jar and the sentiment.


 The metal butterfly is painted with BoBunny pearlescents, I show you how to do this technique and another technique using BoBunny's Gesso on chipboard with the pearlescents.

Here is the side of the Micro Mini. There are six pages all together and six tags. :D

Thanking You with Flowers

Hi Y'all!!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. It's been a nice weekend here, of course it's always a hot one here in Texas. :D  But indoors it's nice and cool. (heheheheee)

Today I bring you a new challenge over at One Stitch At A Time - Challenge 265 Anything Goes with Flowers. So I know y'all have some flowers in your stash so we want to see them, whether they are stamps, design paper, fussy cut, die cuts or your paper flowers, just pile on the flowers!! :D

Here is my card I created for this challenge - using a digital stamp from StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store designed by RSP - Flower Bear.    Such a cute a digital stamp to color in. I used my Spectrum Noir colored pencils. I don't use them very often but lately I have been wanting to play with them a bit more. I still need a little practice I think. lol   But I like they way she turned out and so cute with the little basket of flowers. :D

Sailing Away

Hey Y'all, 

Okay so my last post stated I made two card with the Authentique Explore paper collection I received from Tamra's shop CountryCraftCreations.

To begin I used one sheet of the 12x12 cut in half to make these two cards, this will be the base of your card. I might have cute them a little short after I folded them. 

Second card - 
So after cutting the 12x12 sheet I wanted to add some color to the background and used the BoBunny Bronze spray mist. Now I have to warn you, when I sprayed it, it looked black and dark splotches and I thought "OH NOOOO"!!! But then it dried and I said, "OHHHH YEAAAA!!!" lol   
once it all dried I took the blue sheet of the 12x12 cut it and distressed it with my scissors and inked it up, placed my brads and adhered it sideways. 
I then took a 3x4 Pocket card sprayed with a little water, crumpled it up to a tiny little ball. Unfolded and blew dry just a little and added my ink around it, distressed the edges a little, and adhered. I added that "Gorgeous" seambinding from Tamra's shop, which added a perfect accent to the card. :D  A little stamp in the corner from the sticker sheet. (love the sticker sheet)  and finished. 

 

For the inside of the card I used one of the 3x4 Pocket Crafting cards. Stamped Happy Father's Day and adhered. I think using the Pocket cards is a great way to attached your sentiment to the card. Plus no cutting. :D

Father's Day Cards

Hi everyone, 

Okay, so I wanted to share some last minute Father's Day cards I made as my design team project for Country Craft Creations. I hope these bring some inspiration and creativity to you all. We have 5 days to get those cards made, right? 

I made two cards that I think are pretty easy to create and only take maybe start to finish 20 minutes. (maybe shorter)  So for the cards I used Authentique - Explore paper collection. I will provide instruction for each card. 

To begin I used one sheet of the 12x12 cut in half to make these two cards, this will be the base of your card. I might have cute them a little short after I folded them. 

First card -  I used the colored side of the world paper (chose this one because the reverse side is cream/brown. I used the 2 sheets from the 6x6 for the banners and a card from the Pocket Crafting cards for my focal image with "Happy Father's Day" stamped on it. I wrote the date in it because this will be given to my nephew in law as it's his first Father's Day. I used the brown paper from CountryCraftCreations to border my flags and the Pocket card. 

 The inside of the card I used a cream cardstock for the sentiment and then a small cut a-part from the Pocket-Crafting cards and adhered it.

Father's Day Box Card

Hi all,

Are you ready for Father's Day? It's right around the corner, next weekend. For my Dt project I wanted share with you a Father's Day Box Card I created using Authentique's Explore paper collection. I received from Tamra at Country Craft CreationsStore. It's a fantastic paper collection for Father's Day or masculine cards, mini albums to hold vacation photos or any type of craft project for any occasion. I will give a brief explanation of what I did to each photo but I did a video/tutorial on how I made this card. I tried to make it very easy and brief  as there are 3 parts to the tutorials.

Here is the Box card I created with this awesome Explore collection from Authentique. I did a lot of fussy cutting from one of the 12x12 collage sheets and used one of the Pocket Cards from the 3x4 set, too. I cut small pieces of acetate to hold up my images.

So Full Of Love Bouquet

Hi all, It's me again. lol 

This lovely day I am bringing to you a DT project a Box Card or some people also call it PopUp Box Card. I made this card using the beautiful paper from Tamra's store CountryCraftCreations - Carta Bella white card stock & BOBunny - Butterfly Kisses Collection. For this card I used the 12x12 sticker sheet and one of the 6x6 sheets for the panels and I did a lot of fussy cutting from the beautiful 12x12 printed paper with the birds, butterflies and flowers. And there is a back panel to write or stamp you sentiments. 

As always I will list the steps or what I did for each photo. Well lots of pic's so sit back and enjoy. 

Here is one of the little mason jars from the 12x12 sticker sheet.

I also used the BoBunny Pearlescents - Island Mist on the flower center.

It's so pretty. I also popped these up using the 3D pop ups. 

Here is another sticker I used and I did the 3D pop ups behind it. 

I thought the bee would be a great touch for one of the side panels. 

I also used BoBunny Pearlescents - Island Mist in the corners. 

This is a butterfly sticker from the same sticker sheet. 

I again used a 3D pop up squares behind this sticker.

Such a beautiful green tone. 

A Close up showing y'all the whole bouquet in the box. 

The banner was fussy cut from the 12x12 sticker sheet as well. 

And everything is held up using the Acetate cut in stips from the BoBunny boxes I received the glimmer sprays in. 

Once you cut your strips you can use your adhesive (I used my craftology box glue)

and glue down the acetate strips to the back of the items you cut and let dry for a 

minute (it didn't take long at all to dry). Once dried you can start adhering them to the 

inside panels that are mounted inside the box. (see below for the tutorial)

Here is a Close Up of that beautiful hummingbird and butterflies.

Gosh, aren't they so pretty! :D 

You can see on the butterflies I used the BoBunny Pearlescents - Island Mist

Here is a CloseUp of the flowers and butterfly using the BOBunny 

pearlescents Island Mist in the middle of the flower and the

butterfly. Isn't it gorgeous!! :D 

Here I placed my mat down on the back panel, then I added the white card stock 

for my sentiments. It is best to stamp or write your sentiment before adhering

this white portion down.
