Vintage Floral Mini Album Flip Through Waterfall Craft Tutorial for Tres Jolie Kit Club

 Welcome back to the channel Crafty Friends!

Today's tutorial we are crafting a gorgeous vintage shabby chic mini album packed with interactive elements, pocket flops, waterfall inserts, and beautiful floral embellishments. We are using the 2026 July Card Kit, I have the link down below for you.

2026 July Card Kit

After packing the envelop album adhere all you pieces on, as shown below.

Next I adhered some magnets down to create a nice closure.

I decided to create a waterfall out of the tags from the kit, so I cut 1 inch strips and scored at 1/2 inch. Adhere the folded edge of the strip to the edge of the tag on the left side. Cut off the excess strip. Do this for all 4 tags.

Next I thought this piece with the beautiful frame and lines would be perfect to create a nice Belly Band for photo mats. 

First place double adhesive around the outer-edge of the paper. (See Below)

Next grab a plastic mat and xacto knife and cut down the printed lines leaving 1/4 inch from the top and bottom where your tape is. 

Once your done remove backing and add glue/adhesive to the larger side of the back and around the taped areas. ****For More Details View Video Tutorial****

Adhere down this piece to the middle of the album.

Once you paper the inside bottom flap create a 1 1/2 inch strip from pattern paper, score 1/2 inch on one end and tuck under the pattern paper mat as shown below. This is the arm closure for the tag waterfall.

Please view Video Tutorial for placing down the tags to form your waterfall. I then added a magnet to the top of the tag and the back of the arm closure.

Next grab one of your large corner tucks, and we are going to cut half.

Cover the top of the tuck spot and place the glue 1/2 inch flaps and glue down in the right hand corner.

Here is the inside. I placed the "Precious Memories" chipboard on inner top flap.

Mixed Media Magic: Creating Vintage Bookmarks & Card for Tres Jolie Kit Club

 Welcome Back Crafty Friends!

In today's tutorial, we are diving into a pinks & lavenders! I'll be showing you step-by-step how to create a stunning vintage card and matching layered bookmarks. We are playing with the fabulously fun 2026 July Mixed Media Kit from Tres Jolie. This tutorial is packed with fun tips on using the metallic watercolors, building layers, adding texture, and perfectly placing your embellishments. I have all the links down below for you. 2026 July Mixed Media Kit

To begin fill the water brush with water and then spray a bit of water into the pan of water colors. As you dip your brush in the paint you can press water out into the watercolor you are using. Once you pick up the color onto the brush apply it down to the watercolor paper from the Mixed Media Kit. I cut this sheet into a A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches). I applied the paint down in a wave like pattern and continued down the front of the card with each color laying one color down and applying the next color a little bit on the very edge of that color so they would slightly mix.

Below is what the front of the card looks like when finished. I love these metallic watercolors, they are so shimmery.

To decorate this card I brought in some ephemera from the June 2026 Scrapbook Kit. I thought the beautiful lavender colors went perfectly with these metallic colors.

Next for our first book. I cut the remaining watercolor cardstock into pieces measuring around 2 1/2 x 5 inches.

I used a small stencil placed on top of the watercolor paper. for this fun technique.

Get a paint brush and dip it in the watercolor paint of your choice and apply it on top of the stencil. I did the gradient colors using dark purple first and then ended with the light pink on the bottom of this bookmark.

After you finish applying the watercolor leave the stencil on the paper and wait for a while for it to dry. Pull off the stencil and you have a fun patterned watercolor background.

Here is the finished bookmark decorated. I used the ephemera from the 2026 June Scrapbook kit.

For the 2nd bookmark I'm creating I used the same stencil but this time for this technique we are using the ink brushed to brush on the watercolor paint. Add very small dab of water to the watercolor paint place your bristled ink blending brush in the paint and then apply in a circular motion. I started with dark pink and then went to the lightest pink and added the lightest purples at the end.

With this technique you don't have to wait for drying time. Simply pull off the stencil and you have your finished background. The one thing I like about this background is it's clean and no watercolor seeped through.

For this bookmark I used the ephemera from the July 2026 Scrapbook Kit. I love the vintage feel of the ephemera pieces for this bookmark and adding the books are a fantastic touch.

For the 3rd bookmark I just added the watercolor paints all over not really following any type of guide, just added the paint where ever I wanted. You can either let it dry for a while or dry with a heat tool.

Next I laid down one of the stencil from my stash on top of the dried piece we just painted and applied the Chocolate Stencil Butter on top.

Here is the finished look of the bookmark after pulling off the stencil. I really like the brown on top of the metallic watercolors it really makes them pop.

The ephemera on this bookmark comes from July 2026 Scrapbook Kit. I couldn't resist using another of the vintage books, the pen and clock.

Through the Window: Elegant Altered Cigar Box for Tres Jolie Kit Club

Welcome back to Curating Memories!

In today's tutorial we are transforming a plain cigar box into a gorgeous, dimensional keepsake box overflowing with vintage charm using the 2026 June Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie Kit Club. We will use a rich color palette of deep purples, teals, and soft lavenders, this project is perfect for storing your favorite lace, handmade tags, junk journal ephemera, or treasured mementos. So grab your favorite crafting papers and embellishments and adhesives and let's get crafting!

2026 June Scrapbook Kit

To start out I used the purple card stock from the Card, Tag and More Kit and inked edges with distress ink Black Soot. 

After inking all the card stock mats I adhered them onto the outside of the box and the bottom.

Next I cut pattern papers and inked around the edges with the Simon Hurley break-up blue ink from the June Mixed Media Kit and adhered to the sides of the box leaving a nice border around the purple card stock. I just loved this pattern paper with the beautiful lavender and taupe colored swags they are so elegant. I used this paper for the outside of the box and the inside covering.

Next I used the solar paste from the 2026 June Mixed Media Kit and applied to the feather chipboard pieces. These turned out so good. 

Here is a photo of the top of the box decorated. I added foam tape to the back of the window and cut down the window to fit the top of the box nicely, in the video tutorial I share how to do that. I adhered the beautiful purple dress to the pattern paper that has the lovely chandelier. I then added the metal piece from a previous kit to the bottom and the chipboard feathers and flowers to the outside of the window. I added a little lace at the edge of the box for the opener.

Here is the inside lid of the box. I added some of the beautiful shabby chic ephemera along with the metal corner pieces from a previous kit.

Here is the inside of the keepsake box all finished. 

This keepsake box is elegantly created with the architectural window piece that looks into a vintage boutique scene complete with a chandelier and gown. We embellished this beautifully using the shades of violet and slate blue along with the layered feather chipboard pieces and antique-style metal filigree accents. This altered cigar box is perfect for storing treasured mementos, jewelry, or handmade items and ephemera pieces.

Your Story: A Vintage Botanical Junk Journal

Good Day Everyone, 

In today's tutorial, we are diving into the world of vintage aesthetics and botanical beauty to create this "My Story" junk journal. We'll be working with the 2026 March Scrapbook Kit, using a mix of distressed papers, delicate lace, and unique ephemera - like this chipboard film strip on the front of the junk journal. As always I have the step by step tutorial for you below sharing how to create the junk journal but I have photos of what the inside pages look like, I also have the process video tutorial for you as well. 

2026 March Scrapbook Kit

To start cut 4 pieces of 12x12 pattern paper at 7 1/2 x 12 and fold them in-half. Pick of them for the front cover.

Start picking items to place inside your junk journal. I have 3 coffee dyed papers, 3 pattern paper inserts including the cover. I also included some book pages and envelopes. Fold them all and slip inside your journal.

Next add tape to the inside end on the right side, as shown below. 

Adhere on a piece of the pattern paper measuring 4 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches. 

Then move the paper over to the top of the score board score at 6 1/2, 6 5/8, 6 3/4, 6 7/8, 7. 

Next place all your folded items you are going to have inside your journal, so you know where to score the flap we just adhered on to the end. 

I scored mine  5 7/8, 6, 6 1/8, 6 1/4 inches. It was about 1 inch away from the seem where we adhered on the flap. 

Next you can poke 3 holes in the midsection of the journal using paper clips to hold all your inserts in place. Poke a hole in the middle, then poke one hole above and below the middle hole about 2 inches away. Take a needle and twine and sew all the inserts inside.

For my decorative edge on the flap I used a die to trace and then cut out.

Next I created a paper button adhered on the lace and wrapped the lace around the journal.
