Magical Wings for Tres Jolie

 Hi everyone, 

Have you seen the new September Scrapbook Kit? It is just beautiful and has some gorgeous images inside, today's project is I am using the September Scrapbook Kit along with a few items from the Mixed Media Kit. I hope you enjoy the project and you check out the Scrapbook Kit it really is beautiful and perfect for Fall projects. Down below I have the links throughout my step by step tutorial and I also have a video tutorial for you with more details for you to view. 

September Scrapbook Kit

September Mixed Media Kit

To start gesso the wings with Clear Gesso. Next place your Magicals from the Mixed Media Kit into a little tray or around your area and spritz water and mix. Then start painting the wings. 

Here is the finished look of the wings I painted using the Lindy's Gang Magicals. I love how they turned out. Please view my video tutorial for more details on how I layered my colors to blend together.

Next I added some watered down white paint so the wings wouldn't look so dark. I blended in the white very lightly. 

I used a canvas from my stash, and painted the edges of with the light green from the Magicals.

Next I cut a piece of pattern paper 10x10 to fit over the canvas. I did distress the edges and inked with vintage photo ink. 

Next I used my glue to adhere the wings to the paper. 

Here is the finished Canvas with the beautiful little fairies and all the flowers placed around the wings. 

I really like how this turned out. The wings are just beautiful and look so pretty against the golden and yellow flowers along with the butterflies.

Holidays Here and Aboard - Christmas

 Good Morning everybody,

Today over at International Art & Soul we have a new challenge up - Holidays Here & Aboard Ch. #111.

We would be so happy for you to join us for this fun challenge for any project you create. You can submit any Holiday crafty project cards, altered items, canvases, scrapbook pages or anything else you would like to share with us. 

So what's been going on?? WELL, I have collaborated with Kimmy Murray in the first of many design paper collections and we are so happy to bring to you our first paper collection designed by Salty Beach Scrapper Designs. The card I created for the challenge #111 - Holidays Here and Aboard is a Christmas card using paper designed by Salty Beach Scrapper which will be out in July 2021. The name of the paper collection is The Beauty of Christmas. So this is a sneak peek of the a few of the papers and cut aparts within the collection. 

My card was inspired by a card I seen on pinterest.
I thought it was a really cool design. However, I added a few items to it that 
were not shown in the photo on pinterest.

I adhered the design paper to the cardstock and then cut out the circle. 

I fussy cut the tree, bells, and flowers with candle shown on the inside. 

In this photo it shows the circle that was cut out attached to the arm and it has a magnet so it

closes easily. I also fussy cut the lantern and I placed some flowers beneath the clock 

to make it look 3D.

Once you open the arm I added the sentiment inside and another wreath sentiment inside the circle.

I think it looks so pretty.

Choose A Movie Card

Hi all,

Today I am announcing a super fun Challenge over at International Art and Soul - Challenge #50 Choose A Movie. Isn't that a fun theme for a card.

So my card is of Bambi, when he became an adult. This was one of my many favorite movies when I was a child, I even had a few books. lol

For my card I used Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland. I just loved the beautiful deer and the scenery that is in this paper collection. I fussy cut some of the beautiful flowers, blue butterfly and log with the cute rabbits and raccoon. When I created this card I also had in mind to send it to my brother for his birthday coming up in February. I think he will like it.

Bloom with Happiness

Hi Everyone!!

Yeah!! Today we are starting a new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbons our theme "Autumn Colors"  Which I am so looking forward to Fall and all the pretty colors that come along with it, especially since the summer was soooo hot.

So if you joined the Blog Hop in August you know we introduced the Autumn Colors Ribbon Club Assortment. It is perfect for this challenge for sure.

Here is my card for the new challenge:

So for this card I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Collection. 

Which I really think is just the perfect ribbon assortment for this paper collection 

and its the perfect collection for the Autumn Colors Challenge. 

 Isn't this little bow cute?? 

I used the 3/8"RRR Select Swiss Dots Grosgrain Ribbon Turftan Brown, which is accented with the beautiful butterfly. 

For the strip that goes down the card I used 5/8"Square in Square print Satin Ribbon Tangerine.

 

For this part of the card I fussy cut the sunflowers and layered them on top 

of the sunflower image on the cut apart. I placed a little ticket on the side. 

For the background I used the 3 of the ribbons from the Autumn Color Assortment. 

I really think it adds a nice look to the background. First one is 3/8"Diamond Satin Kiwi Green, 

5/8"Square in Square Print Satin Ribbon Kiwi Green, and 3/8"Checkerboard Satin Ribbon Tangerine.

A Christmas Bag

Hi all,

Yep, It's Friday!!! Whoot, Whoot!! Hope you are having a great day. Today at Really Reasonable Ribbon it's a new challenge - Anything but a card.
So I want to invite you all to join us for some fun! You can create anything you'd like and upload it to the challenge - anything but a card. okay

So for my project, I chose to make a gift bag. It actually made from an envelope regular letter size envelop. I had did a tutorial a while ago on how to make one. I will post it below, in case you want to make one.

So here is my gift bag -

For this little gift bag I used Really Reasonable Ribbon 

Organza sheer ribbon in red & white. It was just the perfect match 

with this Graphic 45 Twas the Night Before Christmas paper collection.

I have some great close ups for you. 

Here is a close up showing how I took both ribbons and intertwined them 

together just a little twisting. I then took a brad put it through both of the ribbons 

and punched the brad through both sides of the bag. 

This photo shows you a close up of the red ribbon attached 

along the top edge. I did got all the way around using my Art Glitter Glue

as the adhesive to attach my ribbons and flowers

The red rose is from Really Reasonable Ribbon - Wild Orchid 

 Here is a close up of the bottom of the ribbon, it wraps around the bottom of 

the envelope. I also fussy cut the images from the paper collection. I just love

this paper collection so perfect for these ribbons.

Botanical Gated Tag Card

Hi Y'all,

Hope you are having a great week. I am up on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today, sharing a card I created with this really pretty ribbon from the Reasonable Ribbon shop. I just love this white pleated ribbon its so pretty. You can find it at Really Reasonable Ribbon Store - Sheer Box Pleats White. It is super easy to work with and perfect for making little flowers for your projects. I had so much fun creating with this ribbon. :D

Here is my card I created -

For this card I used this beautiful white pleated ribbon as a rosette for the

 top of the tag card, I used the ribbon as edging around the chipboard and as a holder. 

Don't you think it looks so pretty against the pretty colors of the design papers? 

I think it really brings out the blues and pinks. I did do a lot of fussy cutting, too.
There are magnets that I used for the closure on the card. 

I used two tags and cut one in half to make this tag card. On the front of the card 

you can see the white ribbons creates a beautiful edging along the chipboard but 

when you open the card as you can see on the right side the 

ribbon creates a nice edging on the inside too. 

You can see here how I used the ribbon as little holder. I just looped it and adhered the 

ends to the top of the tag and added a precious Pink SweetBlossom flower 

found at Really Reasonable Store.

I also used some of the ribbon on the little tags I created. 

It really a lovely accent to these little tags.

Father's Day Box Card

Hi all,

Are you ready for Father's Day? It's right around the corner, next weekend. For my Dt project I wanted share with you a Father's Day Box Card I created using Authentique's Explore paper collection. I received from Tamra at Country Craft CreationsStore. It's a fantastic paper collection for Father's Day or masculine cards, mini albums to hold vacation photos or any type of craft project for any occasion. I will give a brief explanation of what I did to each photo but I did a video/tutorial on how I made this card. I tried to make it very easy and brief  as there are 3 parts to the tutorials.

Here is the Box card I created with this awesome Explore collection from Authentique. I did a lot of fussy cutting from one of the 12x12 collage sheets and used one of the Pocket Cards from the 3x4 set, too. I cut small pieces of acetate to hold up my images.

So Full Of Love Bouquet

Hi all, It's me again. lol 

This lovely day I am bringing to you a DT project a Box Card or some people also call it PopUp Box Card. I made this card using the beautiful paper from Tamra's store CountryCraftCreations - Carta Bella white card stock & BOBunny - Butterfly Kisses Collection. For this card I used the 12x12 sticker sheet and one of the 6x6 sheets for the panels and I did a lot of fussy cutting from the beautiful 12x12 printed paper with the birds, butterflies and flowers. And there is a back panel to write or stamp you sentiments. 

As always I will list the steps or what I did for each photo. Well lots of pic's so sit back and enjoy. 

Here is one of the little mason jars from the 12x12 sticker sheet.

I also used the BoBunny Pearlescents - Island Mist on the flower center.

It's so pretty. I also popped these up using the 3D pop ups. 

Here is another sticker I used and I did the 3D pop ups behind it. 

I thought the bee would be a great touch for one of the side panels. 

I also used BoBunny Pearlescents - Island Mist in the corners. 

This is a butterfly sticker from the same sticker sheet. 

I again used a 3D pop up squares behind this sticker. 

I also used BoBunny Pearlescents - Island Mist in the corners. 

Such a beautiful green tone.

The banner was fussy cut from the 12x12 sticker sheet as well. 

And everything is held up using the Acetate cut in stips from the BoBunny boxes I received the glimmer sprays in. 

Once you cut your strips you can use your adhesive (I used my craftology box glue)

and glue down the acetate strips to the back of the items you cut and let dry for a 

minute (it didn't take long at all to dry). Once dried you can start adhering them to the 

inside panels that are mounted inside the box. (see below for the tutorial)

Gosh, aren't they so pretty! :D 

You can see on the butterflies I used the BoBunny Pearlescents - Island Mist

Here is a CloseUp of the flowers and butterfly using the BOBunny 

pearlescents Island Mist in the middle of the flower and the

butterfly. Isn't it gorgeous!! :D 

Here I placed my mat down on the back panel, then I added the white card stock 

for my sentiments. It is best to stamp or write your sentiment before adhering

this white portion down.

A Sports Collage for Father's Day

Hey There,

Good Morning to you all, Here today sharing a Father's Day Card I created for the new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbons our theme - Masculine creations.
Yep, it's that time, Dad's Day is going to be here before you know it and we need to get started on those cards for our wonderful Dads, Brothers, Grandpa's, Sons, Son in-laws and Uncles or other males that you want to wish a Happy Father's Day.

For my card I used Graphic 45 Good 'Ole Sport, I just love this paper collection for making Father's Day cards, I think I used it last year too. (heheheheee)

So for this card I used some ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store 

that are awesome for any masculine cards you are creating. 

I really like the Red Jute and the Striped Tan ribbon so perfect and

 together they are great touch as an embellishment on a masculine card. 

.

 I did do some fussy cutting I just love how you can cut out the collage 

papers in order to decorate your card. After I fussy cut some of the images

I tucked them under one another and then placed the guy sitting on top of 

the ribbons and a card beside him. 

I just love the Red Jute it really adds a nice contrast to the other reds in the collage. 

I also like the Striped Tan ribbon it really adds a nice vintage look with the tan colors too.

Painted Garden Framed

Good Morning All, 

Hope you are having a wonderful start to your weekend. My weekend is going pretty good so far. Going to the movies with hubby and my youngest daughter. The weather is holding up pretty good so far here in North Texas, hoping it continues to shine. 

Well today we have a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time, Challenge #263 Anything Goes with Stitching real or faux. Yep, so get your "Stitching On" lol. We want to see your beautiful creations with stitching real or faux.  

For this challenge I made a framed creation with a paper collection from PandaBear Designs - Painted Garden found in StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store. I just love this paper it's so pretty and the patterns are just beautiful for a summertime look. After I adhered my squares on my paper I used a 12x12 purple embossed glittered sheet from DCWV Birds and Butterflies paper stack and placed it in the frame to hang on wall in my hallway. I like the bright cheery colors it really adds a lively feel to the little hallway. 

Here is my project - 

For this project I used these beautiful digital papers from PandaBear Designs - Painted Garden 

there are 10 different designs. The butterflies were fussy cut from one of the papers and the 

faux stitched project is adhered to the green striped papers from the collection. 

 Here is a close up on the faux stitching I did, I used Stamp'in Up

paper piercing template to make my faux stitching. For the butterfies

I fussy cut from one of the digital papers I made antennas from 

black wire.

Secret Garden Miracles

Hi all, 

It's me Deborah, sharing a card I created using 2 ribbons that look like one. 

As soon as I saw the White Satin double ruffle ribbon and the Ric Rac flowered yellow  I knew I had to try this idea that popped into my head. I was so excited that it worked and I love the way it looks! So now that I know it looks great, I totally gotta try the other colors. I hope you all try it too. 

So I used Graphic 45 Secret Garden Collection, cause I just had to use yellow and green, it's so pretty. I cut about a 6 inch piece of the White Satin double ruffle ribbon and Ric Rac flowered yellow took a piece of 1/4inch score tape and adhered them together. I then tied a little white bow using the white satin double ribbon, I just love this rufflely ribbon, and cut a "V" on the edges of my tails. Turned out so cute.  I added my wild orchid flowers along with green leaves and that's it. Super easy card. I did do some fussy cutting, which was the little bird in the nest and layered the cut apart card on top. I found a little circle cutout in my stash inked it with powder puff inks. I placed some white corner stickers in the four corners. I really think these two ribbons created a beautiful look to the card along with the flowers. 

Used White Satin double ruffle ribbon with the 

Ric Rac flowered yellow  adhered in the middle

and a tiny white bow. 

I also used Wild Orchid Flowers. I just love the White Cherry Blossom Flowers 

together with the Sweetheart Blossoms 2-toned Yellow is just beautiful 

along with the Green leaf ribbons tucked in a few spots. 

I love the green and yellow w/white it's one of my favorite color combos.
