Welcome Spooky Halloween Sign Tutorial

Welcome Crafty Friends,

In this tutorial, we are creating a layered wooden Halloween "WELCOME" sign featuring intricate cut spiderwebs, with dimensional lettering and a cute metallic purple spider using the 2026 Mixed Media Kit. I added in some scattered crystal gems and used stickles to give an enchanting finish that catches the light beautifully. This is a perfect piece to add to your front porch, entryway, or seasonal wall decor. I have all the details below as well as the video tutorial.

                                                             2026 Mixed Media Kit

To start I used the CP Orange Shimmer and used it to paint in the word "WELCOME". I let it dry in between layers.

Then I used Stencil Butter Orchid by TCW to paint the spider purple. I took a little bit from the jar sprayed a bit of water to make it wet and mixed then painted.

For the spider web I used the Tacky-when Dry applied it to the wooden webs let dry til it feels tacky

Once the glue feels tacky place the foil down with the black side up and then rub on. You can use your fingers or a scraper.

Once you see the outline and the foil moves a bit you can peel back to see if the spider web is all coated with the black foil transfer.

Next I use the Black Tie Stencil Butter to paint the outer edge of the wooden sign.

Once it's dry apply glue to the backside edges, and place down.

Here is the finished "WELCOME" sign. From my stash I added some stickles on top of the spider webs to give a bit glimmer and then I added some small crystal accents with some glue to add that extra touch of magic.

For more details on this and all project you can always view the video tutorial process, which is at the top of the page.
