Autumn Vibes Decorating a mug & votive for Fall for Tres Jolie Kit Club

Hi everyone, Today I am bringing a fun and different type of crafting. We use our Simple Stories Simple Vintage Autumn Breeze Rubons to decorate a coffee mug and candle votive. Super fun and relaxing. I hope you follow along and get some inspiration to try this out. I have the step by step tutorial below and the video tutorial available for you.

2025 October Scrapbook Kit

To start you will need your Simple Stories Rubons from the October 2025 Scrapbook Kit. You need a plain white coffee mug and a clear candle votive, also need some 91%Isopropyl Alcohol along with Mod Podge Dishwasher Safe Sealer. You can view the video tutorial is necessary*

Next cut out the images you will be using for each item and place them in a little pile to the side.

Next take a little bit of the Isopropyl Alcohol squeeze onto a napkin and wipe on top of the glass candle votive. Let it dry for a second or two.

After the votive dries, doesn't take long, take one of the images and place on top of the glass votive, press down with your fingers.

Next start rubbing the image with the popsicle stick going back and forth several times until the image is stuck down, You can left the end of the film up gently to make sure the image is burnished down, if the image is not all the way burnished down keep rubbing until the film can be lifted off.

You will do this for both the candle votive and the coffee mug, as shown below.

Now get the Mod Podge and we are going to spread this over the entire votive and mug. NOTE - please leave about 1/2 inch from the rim of the mug without mod podge as this may be hazardous when drinking out of it. I had a ridge along with rim there so I didn't add any mod podge over that line.

Apply a coat of sealer all the way around the votive and coffee mug.
