I hope you all are having a great weekend. :D
At One Stitch At A Time we have a New Challenge #222 Anything Goes with a Butterfly. Do any of you like to add Butterflies to your cards or crafty projects? I absolutely adore Butterflies. When I was a little girl and use to go out to my grandmother's garden there would be tons of butterflies in her yard. I use to catch them, then set them free. They are such a delicate little creature and so mesmerizing to watch flying around. (old memories, uhhhmmmm)
Anyway, this is your chance to add as many butterflies as you want to your cards or projects for our challenge - cause "Anything Goes With Butterflies"! :D

For this challenge I chose a Get Well Soon theme card by FloppyLatte. I made the card for Aunt who has been ill and not quit well, lately. I am hoping it lifts her spirits and sending it in the mail tomorrow morning. I hope you all like it and find some inspiration so you can show us your beautiful butterflies. :D
Here's my card:
Scaled image Large so I could cut it into an oval shaped card, printed the image onto Neenha cs. Then I printed out the Get Well Soon portion onto G45 Couture paper fussy cut it to fit around my butterfly. The Butterfly and Leaves are all on Neenha cs original copy and colored. I also cut the outer layer oval (floral print G45 paper) to fit around the butterfly and leaves. So this is part is paper pieced as well.
I Fussy Cut around the Butterfly and Leaf, so it's off the paper. Used Elizabeth Craft Microfine Glitter on the Butterfly after I colored with Copics. I also placed Glossy Accents on the Butterfly and leaves. After I finished putter on the glitter I went back over the butterfly with my ultra fine sharpie black pen to make the butterfly lines more defined.
The inside of the card is lined with the G45 Couture Collection paper.
Lined the backside of the card with more G45 Couture paper so it all coordinates. I colored the back of the leaves and butterfly, so it wouldn't look splotchy with white cs showing.

Hi Deborah - this is soooo striking! I love the rich colours of the papers, they go so well together. G45 paper is so amazing and I stroke it for hours before I can pluck up courage to cut it - lol!!
