I hope you all had a nice week. My week was pretty busy but I made some time to get some cards finished. I am still determined to finish up projects that I had started ages ago. (thus my New Years Goal/Resolution)
Today I have a card I made for a wedding, although I don't have a wedding to attend I thought it's always nice to have one on hand. right? I am entering the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge and so when I saw the sketch design I had a vision in mind. Another theme I chose was to make the card Monochromatic which I have never done. So this is my first time, I hope I did it right. (a little nervous : ] )
Another thing I have changed is completing the inside of my cards, so I don't have to do it later. Usually I wait to complete the insides of my cards until I need them but it wasn't working for me; cause when I needed them we were usually on our way out so I didn't have enough time to really decorate them like I wanted.
So here is my card:
***Close up of the front
***The inside of the card
Supplies:
Paper - SU - white cardstock; DCWV - The Primrose stack (used on the front & inside)
Ink - TH - Tea dye, Vintage photo and Spun sugar; Smooch - Shabby pink and Gold lame(I applied with a sponge for the background on top of the my white card stock for the front and inside of the card. (Really like the gold shimmery look)
Stamps - Sweet'nSassy - Spring Tulips; SU - Wedding Elegance and Versatile Verses
Accessories - Want 2 Scrap-Say it with pearls, Ribbon - cream from Michaels; Fiskars corner punch - Lace; Spampendous - Fran-tage embossing powder (glitter on the banner); Cricut - everyday Alphabet - Doily9 (pg65); Cuttlebug emboss folder - Textile Texture.
Challenges entering:
TuesdayMorning Sketch - #232 w/a twist tone on tone Monochromatic
I also wanted to touch on the lace technique I have been wanting show you all. I am running a little late with that and will hopefully get that posted by Tuesday next week. There a lot of tutorial pic's involved, also been toying with the idea of just doing a video. So we will see.
I hope you found this an inspirational card today. And hope you join in the challenges I mentioned above, they are fabulous places to get inspiration and view beautiful works from their DT and other crafty bloggers. :D
Thanks for stopping by, heading out to the flea market today. Maybe I will find something nifty. :D
Stay crafty.
Deborah
