Shabby Chic Gift Card Holders and Mini Slimline for Tres Jolie

Hi all,

Looking for some shabby chic, vintage-inspired card inspiration? In today's tutorial, we are crafting beautiful, multi-layered floral cards that are perfect for gift-giving using the 2026 May Scrapbook Kit, a few things Mixed Media Kit and Card Kit. We'll walk through how to build rich, textured layers using gorgeous botanical prints, 3D paper elements, delicate trims, and perfectly place sentiments.

2026 May Scrapbook Kit

To start our first card cut cardstock at 7x6 inches and score at 3 1/2 inches.

For this card we will be using a few chipboard items.

First I'm using this chipboard window, I applied some grit paste on top, using a heat gun to dry it.

Then applied some white gesso again using a heat gun to dry or you can let air dry.

Next I grabbed some of the Stamperia Mixed Media Aquamarine(2026 May Mixed Media Kit) spray and spritzed all over the window.

I then took some of the white Stamperia Mixed Media spray (2026 May Mixed Media Kit) and flicked on the window to give a weather worn look. Set aside to let dry.

Next I used the long leaf swirl chipboard (May Scrapbook Kit), inking the stems with Distress Vintage Photo.

I took some Distress paint Evergreen Bough and blended into the leaves.

This is the end result. It's just beautiful

I just love how both of these coordinate really well with the paper. I layered the window on top of the leaf swirls.

Here is a close up of how I decorated the window using the flowers & berries from the Scrapbook Kit and I fussy cut out the bird from the border packet from the Season's Kit.

Gift Card Holder Card

For the next two cards I cut 1 piece of 8 x 11 inch cardstock into two pieces measuring 4x11 inches.

Score both pieces at 2 1/2 and 6 3/4 inches.

Once scored place glue on the left side in the middle part of the card and along the top below the score line.

Here is what the finished card should look like. punch a little half circle on the right side for the insert to pull out. The insert measures 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches. This is for any sentiments or attach a gift card.

Here is the finished cards down below. I used the 2026 Card Kit sentiment and other little elements. I used the flowers from the Scrapbook Kit.
