Hi everyone,
I am so excited to share with you my latest project from Clear Scraps. I have embellished this super cute little gnome girl with papers, paint and a cute flower shaker from the Clear Scraps Store.
Isn't she adorable... I just love how she turned out. Down below I have a video tutorial for you as well as some written details.
So to get started you will need the wooden gnome girl from the Clear Scraps store, just press on the link Gnome Girl to head to the store.
First I traced around the body of the gnome girl on pattern paper and cut out the form. This will be her dress.
Next I pressed the paper on top of the gnome to get a placement of where the hand were to indent the paper and cut the little circles. I did the same for the hair so I knew where to cut so the paper would fit around the hair. For the neckline I just cut the dress as a scoop neck.
Next I traced the hat only on pattern paper and cut out the form.
I painted around her body white so it would match the white of her dress, hair orange, her hands & face are fawn color and her shoes are brown. You can also see her hat is formed around her head. To get it to fit right I took my stylus and scored where the lines are in the wood so I could have the paper hat fit the same angle.
I adhered down the hat and dress.
I found some lace in my stash and thought it would look so cute on the neckline of her dress. I used hot glue to adhere it down.
I created some embellishments for her from the paper collection. I fussy cut the flower pot and sign. For the sign I used the chipboard piece from the Flower Shaker we are going to place on top of her hat. I also had to sunflowers from my stash.
Here is what she looks like so far after adding her embellishments. I also added a bow in her hair.
To create the shaker I took the full piece and traced it on the pattern paper and cut out.
Next I removed the clear plastic from both sides of the acetate window, adhere the two middle chipboard flower pieces, added in my shaker bits. Adhere the pattern paper to the full piece of the chipboard. Take the back piece with the pattern paper adhere on top of the open chipboard flower with shaker pieces.
I did gesso the top piece of the flower, waited for it to dry and painted yellow. After drying adhere to the top of the acetate.
Adhere the flower shaker to the left of the hat and she is all done.
She is just so cute, and ready for Fall.
I hope you enjoyed today's fall project using this cute little wooden gnome girl from Clear Scraps.
