Altered Wooden Tray for Tres Jolie DT

 Good Morning Everybody,

Hope you're having a great weekend. I have for you today a fun and simple project to do with the new August Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie along with using one of the trays from the Mixed Media Kit. Down below I have a video tutorial for you sharing I created this beautiful altered wooden tray.

To get started you will need the middle tray f & TCW butterdust champagne from Mixed Media Kit, a couple of 12x12 pattern papers along with the flowers from the Scrapbooking Kit.

You will first ink all the edges around the wooden tray. I used the Prima Marketing Vermillion ink from the Card Making Kit.

Next you will measure the sides of the tray, the outside sides of the tray measure 3/4 inches, the front area and inside area of the tray measures 1/2 inch. Now you will cut 4 strips of the 12x12 pattern papers with these measurements. Cut one piece at 4x6 inches to place in the middle of the tray.  (Optional )For my try I distressed the edges of the papers and inked them all, you don't need to do this portion of the decorating.

Now you can adhere down the strips and the 4x6 piece on your tray.
(for more details please view the video tutorial)

Next I cut out one of the sentiments and used the gradient black paper from the Blush Indulgence collection for the backing of the sentiment, adhering them together.

Next I starting adhering down the flowers with hot glue and also used one of the butterflies from the ephemera sheet that comes in scrapbook kit.

I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to this wooden frame . I added glue to the places I wanted to add the glitter glass and gold micro beads. I then shook the micro bead around the inside of the tray and then took the glitter glass and shook that all over the flowers.

Once I was done with adding the glitter glass I decided to used some diamond stickels and I added that to the top of the sentiment and I traced over the word "you".

I decided to add a little bit the Champagne Butterdust around the outside of the tray. So I brushed on the butterdust very lightly on the sides and the front.

Now we are all done. I am so happy with the way this turned out. It's just beautiful.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you were inspired by this project using the new August Scrapbooking and Mixed Media Kits.
Take Care and Happy Crafting
