Celebrate the season with us!
Our sponsor for the month of December is
OooooWheeee!!! Who would not want to win some of that wonderful, beautiful
goodies from Spellbinders!!!
Well without further ado Here is my project for
As for hoarding Christmas items, I doooo. Lol I love making wreaths or arrangements in my home or for any type of holiday. And I hate to admit it but besides cardmaking or scrapbook stuff, I hoard flowers, these birdhouses, birds and other floral decorating items. I have two tubs full of poinsettias, garland, tree branches with holly and berries and other floral decor items. I just can not help myself, I know these things go on sale after the holiday and I buy more cause I just know I will use one day. Right?? I know you all are thinking the same thing when you see something, "One Day....I will use this". Lol :D
For this bird house I dabbed around it with TH Distress Vintage photo ink then used hot glue to adhere all my birds, tree branches, berries and pine cones on. I also hung one of TH wreaths around the hole of the bird house and used peeled paint to color it green. The snow is Snowtex , I love using this item, it is one of my fav's now. :D
A stamp set I used (was a free stamp set last year from a magazine no name), embossed the sentiment with gold powder and stamped the holly garland twice.
Plus you can see the little angle I stamped earlier and rubbed off and then dabbed vintage photo around it so it would show.
Supplies:
From my stash - Floral items are from the Dollar General Store but can be found at Michaels & JoAnn stores as well. Red ribbon from stash
Snowtex for the snow around the bird house.
Wooden bird house
SU - gold embossing powder
TH distress ink - vintage photo and peeled paint inker used on the wreath and SU - pens to draw around the stamp holly and bird image
