Ahhhh, today it's raining in N. Texas and I am loving it. I know I keep posting I've been busy, but with the baby coming getting the last minute necessities is time consuming. I didn't get to blog all the baby shower items like I wanted to do this week. Again, we are heading out to my daughter's house to get the final things done to the baby room, getting things ready. She's been having contractions, but no baby yet, I just don't think she'll make it to her due date, May 23rd. I am gonna post a picture of her and my son-in-law at the baby shower they look so cute. : D
Well today is not about babies. It's all about Dad. We have a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time Challenge #210 Anything Goes. I did a card this week that is steampunk. I have only done one other card that was steampunk and that was my horse card, I think that was last year. With this image I have to say it was a bit challenging for me. I really like other people's steampunk creations, I think I just need to practice this a little more but I tried. lol Anyway I got some cogs, using metal and wood and glossy accents and a little smooch and Inka Gold. I think it turned out pretty nice for a Father's Day card. I typed my own sentiment I hope you all like it.
The inside
This time I took pic's of what I used and I will like a few other items below.
Paper: Recollection - brown and kraft;SU-white
Emboss Folders - Paper Studio - Clocks; SU - Strips
Emboss Powder - Copper (not sure of the brand)
Sandpaper - ran across the embossed image after I applied embossing powder on the front of the card so it has a sort of grungy look.
Cogs - TH - metal cogs and Momenta - wood cogs (at JoAnns or Michaels)
