Surprise in an Advent Calendar

Good Day to all my crafty friends, :D

I hope you all are having a great week. So far here in the Adams house hold we are doing okay. Now that the ice storm has moved out of North Texas and ice is melting people are able to get out. You think with being in doors for the last couple of days I was able to get things accomplished. To some surprise I got some things finished but with the kids home it seems as though they took up all my time, even though they are older. lol

We'll I have been finishing up Christmas cards still, but like a true crafter which I am sure you all will relate I was side tracked with another idea. lol  :D  So here is the story.......As we were decorating the house I put up my Advent Calendar and was getting ready to place my goodies inside when I thought with the girls getter older it would be nice to have something different this year. So I made these little boxes and placed coins inside, some days are . 50cents, .75, $1.00, $2.00 and the 24th day $5.00. I had them pick days so it's kind of fair but in my house it's what you get you get and you don't have a fit. (lol) :D

I made my own measurements but you can make your own to fit your needs with your Calendar.
So here are the pictures hope you like and feel free to make them, and share with me. :D I'd love to see what you come up with. As we all go to one other's blogs for inspiration and encouragement. :D
If you post just please mention me as your inspiration. Thank you

I also put together a small tutorial for you to follow but once you have the measurements its pretty easy to put together.

Step one - So here are the measurements ** The ----- means to cute on those lines

***this is what you have after you cut. See below

***You can fold the ends in like a present but you don't have to.

Step 2 - After you glue all the sides then you can score the lid. For this part I just held it to my score board, figured where I wanted my crease and scored.

These are the supplies I used but you can use any paper you want. You can use any decorative punches, scissors or embellishments to accent your lid. :D

Here is what my finished products looked like -

I did 12 of these little boxes. These little boxes would be great for little earrings or for any type of small gift. I was also thinking you could put in stockings or for Valentine's Day or Easter baskets.

Here are a couple of the boxes I finished -
