Good Morning My Crafty Friends,
We have a wonderful new challenge at OSAAT #190, with some wonderful prizes to be won. To win our main prize, which is a complete set of digis used from the DT from Challenge 188, you must use a Stitchy Bear Digi. If you don't use a Stitchy Bear Digi from the store the runner up will win a $3 voucher to use at the Stitchy Bear Digi Store. :D
For this challenge I received the Steampunk Horse digi image. When I received this image from Oona our DT Coordinator I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this image. I wanted give a softness to the horse with a metal looking mane. So here is my creation I hope you all like it and get some inspiration from it. I have all the instructions on how I did it below.
Instructions:
I used Spellbinders Mixed Media Foil Pack - printed the image on the pink foil (if you want to print on foil you have to tape it down to a plain copy paper before you run it through your printer) once you have the image printed onto the foil you need to place clear embossing powder, heat it so the image doesn't smear. After I embossed it I cut out the mane and the little clock. I then printed my image onto my card stock and colored with my copics and other inks and used popups on the back of the horse. The design paper is part of the Steampunk Horse Collection at the Stitchy Bear Outlet store, which I printed from my printer onto copy paper.
Copics - B45 & RV 13
Zig Painty - Gold & Silver
Liquid Pearls - Petal pink
SU: marker - Positively pink; Bliss blue eyelets
Quick Quotes inks/Powder Puff - Amaretto & Pink Cheeks
Recollections - wood embellishment, gems
Jolee's Boutique - Dimensional stickers
Blue Moon - Leather cord
I hope you found some inspiration from my creation and I encourage you to follow over to OSAAT to receive some more inspiration from my wonderful DT sisters and their beautiful projects. Please leave a comment and Thank you for stopping by.
Happy Creations!! :D

Wow Deborah - this card is so beautiful and so very unique. 'Steampunk' is a very appealing and interesting 'theme' that gives rein to some wonderful creativity. However, when I have enjoyed seeing a 'SteamPunk' card I have thought of them as special cards for men or the young. Now you have tipped my personal thought upside down and inside out by creating this very delicate, very feminine steampunk card that I'd be so thrilled to receive. That's creativity - and my goodness, you have the skills and vision in abundance. I'm totally awestruck. Love Ingrid xxx
ReplyDeleteFantastic a feminine steampunk-i must admit i struggle with this theme but you have it fantastically-love the colouring and great metal mane love the technique and embellishments and great texture
