Hi all,
I hope you all had a great weekend. It's so nice and warm over here in North Texas. I got to spend some time outside cleaning up the yard and taking a nice walk in the nice spring air. I hope you all have nice weather in your neck of the woods.
Speaking of spring I did get a chance to do some crafting. I picked up a journal over at Michaels in their clearance baskets it had a beautiful plain white cover that was embossed and beautiful design of eyelets (like a doily). I forgot to take a pic of the journal prior to distressing it. With spring in the air I wanted some pastel colors, here is the finished look. Hope you like it, I thought for my first time using Tim Holtz distressed inks it turned out pretty good.
Close up of the direct to paper, also used Liquid Pearls - silver dabbed all over in various spots around the cover.
Recipe:
Plain white covered journal
Distressed ink pads - Peeled Paint, Victorian Velvet (used ink direct to mat water technique)
Ranger - Liquid Pearls dabbed around ontop
Recollection gems pink
