Shaken It Up with Balloons from Clear Scraps

 Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing some fun cards to create using the Chipboard Mini Shaker Balloons and the Chipboard Script Birthday and Balloon set. These balloons are a must have for your cards, they add a fun embellishment that WoWs any card, tag or project. I have the links down below, along with the step by step tutorial for you.

Script Birthday and Balloons                                  Mini Shaker Balloons

Card 1 - Happy Birthday Balloon Easel Card

This is a large easel card. Cut 1 piece of cardstock 6 1/2 x 7inches. Score 1/2 inch with 7 inch across the scoreboard.
Cut 2 pieces of cardstock at 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches

Adhere the Scored piece (tab ) to one of the 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch pieces.

Next fold the top piece in half. (as shown below)

Next cover the other 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch piece.

Next on the bottom half of the card, folded part, place adhesive. This is where we attach the covered 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch piece.

For the chipboard Balloons I place glitter around the edges and the middle part, which is the back of the balloon, I added some Nuvo  Mousse embellishment and a glittered paste. I let dry for a few hours.

The Birthday word I applied some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse on top of the chipboard.

Next I decorated the inside of the balloons with some flower stickers and I added the cute little Hello Kitty holding the Balloons. Isn't this card just adorable? I really enjoyed creating this card and using the Birthday and Balloon chipboard set.

Card 2 - Shaker Balloon Pop Up Box Card

For this next card cut a piece of cardstock at 11 1/2 x 8 inches.
Score with the 11 1/2 inch across the scoreboard at 1/2, 2 1/2, 6 and 8 8 inches.
Turn tot he 8 inches across the top of the scoreboard and score at 4 1/2 inches to the second score line, Flip over and score again at the 4 1/2 inches.

Next you will cut out one end of the scored areas, from the 1/2 inch tab to the second panel and then cut out the middle panel. As shown below.

Next cut out two little tabs at 4 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches, score on 1/4 inch on each end for both tabs. These fit inside your box.

This photo shows that you will adhere both tabs to the inside of the box. Place adhesive to the 1/4 inch tab and glue to the inside of the box about 1/4 inch down.

Here are what you will receive for the Mini Shaker Balloon. You have 3 frames, 1 acetate piece and the backside of the shaker balloon. Adhere 2 frames together with the acetate, peel off the film from both side of the acetate.

Next trace the back of the balloon onto pattern paper and cut out and adhere down to the balloon. I painted the top frame a beautiful turquoise color. And on the right side you see I have the acetate adhered to two of the frames.

Place the painted frame on top of the acetate and place your sequins inside and adhere the frames down over the balloon. Make sure to burnish down really well so the shaker bits don't fall out.

Here is the card finished. I really like how this card turned out and may have to make some more. lol
It really turned out nice and so colorful. I really think the balloons made this card into a WOW factor, definitely going to bring some smiles.

I  hope you enjoyed today's step by step tutorial showing how you can use the Mini Shaker Balloon and the Script Birthday and Balloon on creating some fantastic cards that will bring a smile to anyone's face.
