Today I am sharing a couple of quick layouts I created using the February2025 scrapbook kit. I hope you enjoy the step by step tutorial and I have a video tutorial that shows the entire layout process.
All links are below for you.
February2025 Scrapbook Kit
To start I combined 2 small scoops of Pink Gold Pearl Ex and 2 small scoops of the Stamperia Meduim for pigments, mix until you get a paint like consistency. I then painted the Chipboard Hearts.
For page 1 - I used the truck pattern paper. I really liked this image. I cut one mat at 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches and distressed the edges. I cut another patterned paper at 4 x5 and distressed the edges again, then inked my edges. I added foam tape to the back of the photo mat, then adhered down.
I added flowers and I painted the Love Key Chipboard piece with pink gold pearl ex. I did paint the "love" in a light pink and went over it with the white pearl ex.
Page #2
I drew a large wave down the length of the a 12 x 12 pattern papers on both sides then cut out. I then used this as a pattern to draw the same wave on a second 12x12 paper. This way they will layer on top of one another. For more details you can watch the video tutorial.
Here is what it should look like after you cut them out. I used the ends to decorate the left and right side. I like how this looks like an hour glass shape. For more details you can watch the video tutorial.
I then took a black marker and traced the edges of the waves before putter on the any photos. I adhered the chipboard hearts and flowers.
Here is page 1 all finished and I wrote on top the day and where we went for our night out.
Here is the finished second page I placed the photos on and then adhered the grapevine hearts with hot glue. I also added in some sentiments from the card kit.
I hope you enjoyed today's step by step tutorial. I enjoyed creating this two page layout and sharing my memories with you all. Using the chipboard hearts and sharing the painting technique you can do using the pearl ex from the mixed media kit added a nice touch to the papers and photos.

Thank for joining me today. Have you played around with this months Mixed Media Kit? I am enjoying playing around with the all the basic tools that are inside this kit. It's a great way to start out learning how all these fabulous items work together. I am still learning all about mixed media and with that being said, I have a fun layout I created using a new technique. I have a step by step down below for you but my video tutorial always gives you more details and you can follow both anytime. I also have links to the store for you grab your January Mixed Media Kit and the Scrapbook Kit.
January 2025 Mixed Media Kit January 2025 Scrapbook Kit
Let's get started - To start you are going to need some clear gesso. This is something that did not come in the kit so you will need to grab some from your stash. Then brush the clear gesso over one of the pattern papers from the Scrapbook Kit. I used my large art brush from the Mixed Media Kit to brush on the clear gesso.
While your pattern paper is drying brush on your heavy white gesso, let dry or dry with heat gun for a bit let sit and then add some textured paste on top. Again you can let dry or use the heat gun to dry for a bit. **make sure not to get your chipboard to hot**
Here is what the chipboard looks like with the heavy white gesso and texture paste.
Next I added a stencil in a few areas around my pattern paper. I used the stencil from the Feb. 2024 Mixed Media Kit. If you do not have that one use one from your stash. Spread your modeling paste around. Then I came in with a scrunched up paper towel and did a pouncing technique around the areas I stenciled.
Next you can add your paints. I used the June 2024 Mixed Media kit, using the Finnabair violet acrylic paint along with the french rose Couture Paint. Again when placing these down I did a light pouncing technique.
After I finished adding in the paint and let it dry for a bit I painted the frame with Finnabair violet paint. Then I tranced the frame onto one of the scrap pieces of pattern paper and cut out to place the photo of my parents in the middle. Next the bottom left and right corner pieces are images I fussy cut from some of the other pattern papers. I added in the ephemera pieces and also fussy cut out the butterflies and some of the flowers. I did add foam tape to the back of the flowers and to the bottom corner pieces.
I also added in the beautiful lace from the Scrapbook Kit. After adhering everything down I used some of the Glitzy Magical Gleaming Gold around the purple frame and around the layout.
To get more details on how I put my layout together you can hop on over to my video tutorial.
I hope you enjoyed today's step by step tutorial. I really had fun using the pouncing technique on this layout. I hope you received some inspiration and try creating a Mixed Media layout of one your favorite family photos. I hope to share some other fun techniques with you next week using this months January 2025 Mixed Media Kit. Thank you all for joining me today. For more details you can view the video tutorial.

I hope you all are doing well. Today I have a really fun interactive layout to get you in the mood for Autumn. I am ready for the cooler weather for sure. lol For this layout I used the beautiful September 2024 Tres Jolie Scrapbook Kit. This Scrapbook Kit is just beautiful and has everything you need to do several Scrapbook Layouts. I have the links throughout the step by step tutorial and I have a video tutorial that will share more details with you. Below I have a photo of the Scrapbook Kit.
To begin I chose a pattern paper from the paper collection that was a little pink but had beautiful flowers that reminded me of Autumn. I then cut out 1 piece of pattern paper at 6 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and adhered down; then cut another piece of pattern paper at 6 x 4 inches and adhere on top of the larger mat. This will be a photo mat.
Next cut 3 pieces of pattern paper at 3 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches and score down the middle to fold in half, do this for all three pieces.
These are like little booklets that will be adhered down at the bottom of the layout.
Before adhering down the booklets, adhere magnets to the inside and the backside of the booklets. You can view the video tutorial for more details.
Next adhere down to the bottom, as shown below. Here is a tip - to make sure they are even when you lay them down, adhere one of them down first, then place your ruler on the bottom edge of the one you adhered down and this will be your guide to make sure they are all laid down straight.
Here is how the layout should look. Now you can decorate your layout using the beautiful flowers and other embellishments in the kit.
Here is what I used to decorate my layout. I fussy cut out the beautiful butterflies and the pretty branches from the cut-a-part sheet. Next I added some flowers. I also added some of the tabs to the little flaps, love, life and one with a flower on it. You can definitely add a little fairy in here as well.
Here is the finished layout. I just love how this turned out so pretty.
I hope you enjoyed today's step by step tutorial, remember I have the video tutorial for your convenience. I really enjoyed creating this Scrapbook Page Layout for you all using the new September Scrapbook Kit, you really get a ton of fun crafty stuff inside.
I hope you felt inspired to create this a layout or two using the New September Scrapbook Kit.
