Thank for joining me today. Have you played around with this months Mixed Media Kit? I am enjoying playing around with the all the basic tools that are inside this kit. It's a great way to start out learning how all these fabulous items work together. I am still learning all about mixed media and with that being said, I have a fun layout I created using a new technique. I have a step by step down below for you but my video tutorial always gives you more details and you can follow both anytime. I also have links to the store for you grab your January Mixed Media Kit and the Scrapbook Kit.
January 2025 Mixed Media Kit January 2025 Scrapbook Kit
Let's get started - To start you are going to need some clear gesso. This is something that did not come in the kit so you will need to grab some from your stash. Then brush the clear gesso over one of the pattern papers from the Scrapbook Kit. I used my large art brush from the Mixed Media Kit to brush on the clear gesso.
While your pattern paper is drying brush on your heavy white gesso, let dry or dry with heat gun for a bit let sit and then add some textured paste on top. Again you can let dry or use the heat gun to dry for a bit. **make sure not to get your chipboard to hot**
Here is what the chipboard looks like with the heavy white gesso and texture paste.
Next I added a stencil in a few areas around my pattern paper. I used the stencil from the Feb. 2024 Mixed Media Kit. If you do not have that one use one from your stash. Spread your modeling paste around. Then I came in with a scrunched up paper towel and did a pouncing technique around the areas I stenciled.
Next you can add your paints. I used the June 2024 Mixed Media kit, using the Finnabair violet acrylic paint along with the french rose Couture Paint. Again when placing these down I did a light pouncing technique.
After I finished adding in the paint and let it dry for a bit I painted the frame with Finnabair violet paint. Then I tranced the frame onto one of the scrap pieces of pattern paper and cut out to place the photo of my parents in the middle. Next the bottom left and right corner pieces are images I fussy cut from some of the other pattern papers. I added in the ephemera pieces and also fussy cut out the butterflies and some of the flowers. I did add foam tape to the back of the flowers and to the bottom corner pieces.
I also added in the beautiful lace from the Scrapbook Kit. After adhering everything down I used some of the Glitzy Magical Gleaming Gold around the purple frame and around the layout.
To get more details on how I put my layout together you can hop on over to my video tutorial.
I hope you enjoyed today's step by step tutorial. I really had fun using the pouncing technique on this layout. So I have to simple Layouts for you. Sharing photos of my grandkids from last year. I hope you enjoy today's projects. To start out I cut 3 pieces of green pattern paper at 4 1/2 x 5 3/4 inches the red cardstock is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches these will be your photos mats. Adhere the red mat on top of the green. This layout will use two of the three photo mats.
Here is how I adhered them down for the first layout.
Next I used pieces from the punch out pages and also fussy cut some of the images out from the cut-a-part sheet.
For the second layout I placed the photo mat up in the left side of the pattern paper and again used some of the punch out pieces and pieces I fussy cut out.
Here is what the layout will look like but first we are going to glitter the beautiful chipboard angel.
Fist I place glue around the entire angel and then sprinkle the ultra fine glitter on top. Be sure to tap off the excess glitter and set aside to dry.
Once your angel is dry you can adhere her down to the pattern paper.
Here are the photos of the finished layouts with pictures of my grands.

It's Debbie here today. Are you ready for Christmas? I know during your celebration there will be lots of pictures, right. Well today I have a beautiful layout for you using the December's Scrapbook Kit along with the Mixed Media Kit. We'll be using the Lumiere acrylics and the scrapbook kit chipboard ornaments and 3 Quarter paper December Wishes collection.
Here is the video tutorial so you can follow along.
Let's get started.
To start I applied the Lumiere emerald first. This glides on really easy and smooth. I used my fingers but you can use a sponge if you'd like.
Next I applied to the Lumiere matallic russet to the Merry Christmas word. These chipboard ornaments are just beautiful.
I took one of the poinsettias from the flower package and added some glue on top and sprinkled Diamond Shimmer Dust on top.
It looks white when finished applying the glue but it will dry clear.
Here is flower after it has dried. I just love how it sparkles.
After you attach the ornaments with your trim adhere the poinsettia's to the top of the ornament.
Next cut the green stripped paper at 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches and laydown on the left hand side, under the ornaments.
I used these beautiful prints from the paper collection. Cut one at 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and cut another piece at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.
Attach the smaller piece on top of the larger square piece.
Next I added foam tape the back of the square piece we just adhered together. I did leave about 1/8 inch space from the edge just in case I wanted to tuck a die cut or something underneath.
Next place down as a diamond shape on top of the green strip paper. Next placed down one of the cut-a-part cards that is a red color and has "25" written on it, I cut that and tucked it under the diamond mat.
I just love the beautiful die cut pieces that come with this December Wishes Collection they are just beautiful and so festive. I placed down the large piece that has the Christmas presents and holly on it.
Next I added my photo down using the red cardstock that is in the paper collection. I cut it at 4 x6 inches and adhered my photo on top, placing it sideways.
Here is a close up of the chipboard ornaments painted with the Lumiere acrylics with the beautiful poinsettia's we did.
After I finished the main part of my layout, I fussy cut out some presents and the mail stack along with the die cut poinsettia. I did add foam tape to the back of poinsettia, Cookie Co sign, the white present below and adhered them around my layout.
Here is the layout all finished. I hope you got some inspiration today. This Scrapbook Kit is just beautiful and definitely one you will want to use for your Christmas photos.

Today I am sharing a beautiful layout that uses all three August Club Kits. I love how this layout turned out and the black & pink together with the gold trim is just beautiful. Come check out the process video to see how fast this layout comes together.
Let's get started
First you will need to two 12x12 pattern papers from your Blush Indulgence paper collection. Here is a photo what we will be using, which is a bit of something from each of the August Club Kits.
We are gonna start by applying the stencil down on the top and bottom of the paper as shown in photo below. I used the Prima 6x12 Criss-Cross stencil along with the TCW Champagne stardust butter from the Mixed Media Club Kit.
After you apply the stencil to the trop and bottom, cut them off. So you have two strips now.
Next we are going to shape them into diamond shape strip to lay across the 12x12 scrapbook page. See photo below.
Next add foam tape to the back of the diamond strips and laydown one on the top and one on the bottom of your page.
Next using the Creative Expressions Die, Petite Striplet - Atlas from the Card Making Kit, cut out 5 pieces and we adhere 2 1/2 strips on top of each diamond strip.
Here is what your layout should look like after we're done.
Next take the middle piece we first started with, its the piece we used the stencil on and cut the diamond strips off the top and bottom. Use that middle piece and adhere it down in between the diamond strips. See photo below.
I took the rose chipboard piece that comes in the Scrapbook Club Kit and placed white gesso on it first and let it dry. Then used Distress Oxide Inks Kitsch Flamingo and patted it down on the roses, then took Worn Lipstick and patted some on top so the roses wouldn't be so pink. I used black and gray markers to color the leaves to match the leaves on the paper.
Next I took the Dresden Trim from the Card Making Kit and used it as border on the 4x6 photo mat, the cut about piece with sentiment and outlined the top and bottom of the middle piece of the layout.
Next I added some of the flowers from the paper collection and used the chipboard from the Card Making Kit, which I added the TCW Marcasite stardust butter on it adhered it down to the bottom of the 4x6 photo mat.
Here is our final layout.
I loved using all three August Kits together to create this beautiful it came together so quick and it's just beautiful. I have the link below for you as well as our social media links. Come join us on our FB page Tres Jolie Club Cafe.
