Spread Your Wings

Good Day All,

I hope you all have been doing well. I am doing pretty good, except allergies are now kicking in and so woke up with a sore throat and eyes look like I've been crying for weeks. Not a good look, for sure. :D  Things are just moving along got all of the main floor unpacked, Yeah!!! And now for the upstairs, which shouldn't take to long. (hopefully) We are definitely loving the new place.

Hey, got my crafty room set up, although I share with hubby he has his office space in an area "an area", and I have my "Crafty Space". hahahaaa, like how I emphasized that? So pretty much my stuff takes up the room. Oh' and then some, which I had to move to a closet. (can you say Hoarder) lol

Anyway who's ready for a Challenge??? Well it's my last day to post for Quirky Crafts. I can't believe it's been two months. Wow! I had a great time being part of the team, they are so talented and have such wonderful creations giving inspiration to all. :D  I am sad to go but I truly need to focus on some personal things. I did let Cazzy know that I would love to join them again in the future as a Guest Designer.

&
For this card I did a two in one -
If you follow me on FaceBook -www.facebook.com/debbie.adams you know I do ATC swaps. I haven't really posted many on my blog but you will see within the next month I will be posting many different things. : )
I did an ATC for my swap partner from Scraps of Darkness & Scraps of Elegance. I thought it turned out pretty neat. I don't get to play very much so this time I used Viva Decor Inka Gold Metallic Rub for the background with Spellbinders Media Mexage Foil Pack Two. I actually used my flower punch on the purple and green foil to make the flowers. Well I hope you all like it.

Here is a view to show I popped up the wings. You can kind of see the sparkly on the
background from the Metallic Rub I used.

Another side view

View of the foiled flowers with green leaves and Turquoise Stickles in the middle.

Picture of the full length ATC - used Metallic Rub on the wooden cogs and to
create the background. Image was colored with copics.

Travel Across The Miles

Hi all,

Yeah, we are finally all moved into the new house. :D  And now the fun part unpacking. hahaha
Once I get my crafty room all set up I can get back to normal crafting. Believe me I have going through with drawls big time.

Today I have another Guest Design Team card I made for Quirky Crafts Mid-post Challenge #9. This time I made a "penny slider card". It's when you use two pennies to slide the image back and forth. Although this image was pretty big I had to use 4 pennies. I thought it turned out pretty cute, the car can travel along the slot. :D

Roll'n to your Birthday

Hi there,

Today is Quirky Crafts Challenge 9 - Let's go on a Quirky Journey (Traveling/Transportation)
I did a CAS (clean and simple) card. I know right??? I needed to do something quick and simple, so did this with maybe 20 minutes, I also made my own sentiment and cut it into a banner popped up with popup adhesives. I also did the background with water coloring doing streaks so it looks like he is riding his skateboard fast.
Using Distress markers on the whole image. I really like how it turned out.

Here is my card -

Vintage Sunset Silhouette

Good Day All,

I know it's been a while since I posted but if you have read pasts posts you all know I am in the middle of moving. What an ordeal this has been, it's been like a roller coaster. So we have about two weeks left till May 1st, and I finally found a house. YEAH!!!! So the move is on....packing up the house and of course cleaning things out. Getting rid of tons of stuff, I thought about having a garage sale but then I wouldn't have time here and would have to move the stuff over to the new house and what's the point. right? So I am taking it down to the Goodwill.

Today my Guest Designer card for Quirky Crafts Mid Post Challenge #8 Blooming Quirky has something I usually don't do. But I've been really wanting to try this since I was inspired by a bunch of different uses of water coloring videos I've been watching. I don't use many silhouette images so I hope you all like my card.

Here is my card:

Used TH Distressed inks for watercoloring the background.
I wanted to create a sunset type scene that I've seen in photos.
It had pinks, blues and yellows, I love this type of sunset, it's so beautiful.
Since this is my first time I used a variety of colors
to create the look. I thought for my first time it turned out okay.

Supplies:
Stamp - Crackbox Palace - SeaBreeze Silhouette
Paper- DCWV - The Primrose Collection
Inks- TH Distressed inks - spun sugar, victorian velvet, faded jeans, stormy sky, scattered straw, mustard seed,
Accessories - Used stickles - frosted lace, corner dazzles, flowers from stash, pearls from stash. Spellbinders Die - Devine Floral

Flowers for Easter...and a Bunny?

Hi all,

I apologize for being late in my post but things have been hectic lately. We received a bit of news lately, so I've been busy trying to find a house to move to and pack up as well. Plus went this weekend to visit my in-laws and help them out this weekend.

So my next card  as Guest Designer for Quirky Crafts is an Easter card even though Easter past, I just couldn't help making one once I saw these cute images from Crackerbox Palace. The bunny is just adorable in the flower pot with flowers all around with little chicks walking by, and the Happy Easter sentiment. So cute. Hope you like it.

Here's my card -
I made a Center Fold Step Card
Fussing cutting multiple images of the flowers,
bunny & flower pot. I rounded the pot a little
to fit in the flowers and bunny inside the pot.

I placed stickles on the bunnies nose & ears, in the center of flowers and little chicks.
Used my MS border punch along with some BoBunny paper had in my Patterned paper stash.
Placed some green brads on my yellow sentiments tag.

For this Challenge we have an inspiration photo

You can use the photo as inspiration for you project or use Lots & Lots of Flowers
Or
Use both in your project. :D

For this Challenge our Sponsor is
