Monochromatic in Winter

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are doing well. Today I am sharing a cute little card I created for our Challenge at International Art & Soul themed - #63 Monochromatic. I thought it turned out pretty cute.

I used my blue gelato's for the background to get a nice monochromatic look to the night sky. I used Inky Antics Polar Bear Pals stamp set. For the stars I used an old Stamp'n Up stamp from my stash.
After the gelato background dried I then, stamped and heat embossed my bears in black embossing powder. I painted in moon with antique linen distress paint to give it a night moon look. I used versa mark to stamp my stars around and used heat n stick powder then added my glitter. I also used Fran-tage by Stampendous, using the Shabby blue (I love Fran-tage) to give it an little glimmer of falling snow around the bears.  For my bears I painted them in with white paint and then added white flock on top of them. I didn't place a sentiment on the front as I am not sure if it's going to be a Christmas card or just a thinking of you card. Either way I think it came out nice. Wish you could touch the bears cause they are so furry. lol
I hope you all like the card.

This photo shows the white flock on the bears a little better.

Your Invited For Cake

Hi everyone!

Well today I have a new challenge for you all at One Stitch At A Time Challenge 271 Anything Goes with A Special Day. Come over to join us with all your cards showing how you create a card or project celebrating A Special Day.

For this wonderful challenge I used a digital stamp from the StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store Wonderland Cake designed by CraftyGirl Creations
When I saw this stamp I just knew what paper I wanted to use with this stamp Graphic 45 - Hallowe'en in Wonderland Collection, I really think it goes perfectly.
I decided to do something a little different something a little off from my
usual using fun colors with my copic markers.

Here is a closer look of the stamp and the background of the Tag. I used some fun
items to create my background Tim Holtz distressed paints and inks, BoBunny black gesso
with TH stencil Harlequin and BoBunny Grape Glitter paste.

Here is a close up of the stamp.
Applied Glossy Accents to nose and clock. I also used black liquid
pearls applied around the cake and the gold liquid pearls are applied
to the chain that links to the clock.

Our Sponsor is StitchyBear Digit Outlet with a
$10 coupon to use at the store

Paper: Graphic 45 - Hallowe'en in Wonderland Collection

We Are All Fairies

Good Morning all

So glad to have you join me again. :D  FIRST, I would like to say a big Thank you to my new followers. Thank you for joining me on my crafting journey and I hope you find much inspiration on my past posts and future ones to come.

Today I am sharing a Tag I made for the new challenge at One Stitch At A Time - Ch. 259 Anything Goes with Distressing.
Here is the Tag I made using an image from Stitchybear Digi store LilyFairy by DigiBlessings.
For this Tag I started with my image from Stitchybear digi stamps colored with my colored pencils. I used TH manila tag and added 3 colors of distress paint - tumble grass, weathered wood and faded jeans. I used TH distress ink - mowed lawn around the words I cut out. I used Stampendous - Frantage around the tag to give some detail and gold prills from Reneabouquet. Used twill ribbon and organza ribbon from my stash.

Here is close up photo of the image. I used pop dots to raise the leaf of the
lily so it looks as if the leaf is hanging over the mouse & fairy.
I fussy cut the flowers and placed around the bottom of my tag.
I added stickles on the little lily flowers.

Tim Holtz - March - 12 Tags of 2015

Hi all,

Some of you know that I am doing the 12 Tags of 2015 with Tim Holtz Blog. I decided to do this so I can learn new tip and tricks and new techniques using all of the fantastic TH/Ranger products I own. So each month you create a tag with instructions from Tim on how to achieve the same tag or a tag using the same technique that he has created with TH products, all year long.

So my tag did not quit turn out like I wanted, it's actually kind of plain but I did use the techniques he instructed on the blog for the March 2015 Tag. I wanted to give a different look to the tag and used a colored embossing powder with the Rays stencil (love that stencil) especially with Easter upon us, I wanted some bright color in it.

Well here it is:  Since I didn't have the products he used with his tag, I used what I had on hand.

First I applied inks broken china, seedless preserve, evergreen bough, spun sugar, spiced marmalade on top of the tissue tape. Tissue tape used was butterflies and dictionary words.

I used the #3 to symbolize March with the little March calendar popped up next it from the ephemera package.

Used a metal rose painted with spun sugar and a metal tag with twine.

The stamp is the Tim Holtz - French Flight it comes with the die cuts by sizzix.  Used the butterfly stamp and embossed with black embossing powder. I cut out a mask to place over the stamp image to apply the texture paste. (as Tim did in the tutorial on the blog)

The stencil I used is Rays along with the texture paste, applied cayenne embossing powder on top of the texture paste then used the heat gun to achieve the technique Tim used on his tag. (Tim used a gold embossing powder with his texture paste)

Well entering my March 2015 Tag into the challenge.

If you get a chance to go by Tim's blog you should definitely stop by there is so much Inspiration, I am not even kidding. I love looking at all the tags that people do so many creative and talented people there. :D

Thanks for visiting. Hugs ~ Deborah

A Tooth Fairy that Twinkles

Hi all,

Today I get to share a special gift I made for a special someone, my granddaughter. Although she hasn't lost any teeth yet, actually she's still getting her teeth in. lol   I got an early start on her little Tooth Fairy Box. This little box uses a stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs Shop "Twinkle Fairy", she is just cute. Love this stamp, as I was using her idea's kept popping up in my head on how to use her. She is so versatile, you can use for cards, scrapbook pages and other crafting projects.

My Tooth Fairy box is on the Inspirational Blog so please stop by and leave a comment for me. I would really appreciate it. :D  If you want to see this stamp or go to the Inspirational Blog just click on the names the links will take you directly to the pages you want to see.

Well won't delay any longer, here is my box... I will list instructions on top of the each photo.

***Colored my images with copics and cut out image with Spellbinders die.
The box I used is a wooden box from Michaels. I painted white then sprayed with
Prima Marketing Color Bloom sprays and once dried went over it with a little
Distress ink faded jeans (not heavily).
The stars are made with the TH Stars stencil and I textures paste mixed with
Distress Mustard Seed paint (mixed) and then apply. It dries pretty fast. After it
dried I applied Stickles to the Stars. I drew some tooth images and
printed out, then applied stickles around them. Used Wink of Stella Clear on her
wings and outfit.

***I placed some sparkles in her hair and around her***
To get the night sky I colored the stars yellow then heat embossed with clear
embossing powder and then when over with my distress inks.
The clear embossing prevents the ink from coloring the stars.
To get my night sky I used TH Distress inks - chipped sapphire,
broken china & a little seedless preserves.

Applied lace around the box.

***The box comes in two pieces. I adhered two hinges in the back so it becomes
one piece. I placed a little pillow inside for the tooth and I wrote a little
saying applied to the inside lid with pink string pearls, another tooth with
sparkles. I went around the saying with Distress Ink,

***Would like to give a special Thank You to Jennifer McGuire who shared her idea on how to
make a Night Sky. Clink the link below her name if you would like see how she did hers. :D
Thank you Jennifer

Supplies:
Inks: TH Distress Inks/Paints - mustard seed paint; Ink - faded jeans, chipped sapphire, broken china and victorian velvet; Prima Marketing Color Blooms Spray - cotton candy, tea stain; Copics
Paper: Neenha paper
Accessories: Wooden box, hinges, Stickles - mercury glass; string of flat pink pearls;pink organza, Poly fiberfill for the little pillow; Spellbinders - decorative labels twenty-eight; lace & ribbons; Clear embossing powder
