A Happy Hello

Good Morning Everyone,

I know it's been a long time since I've blogged, feels like forever. Well... I've been gone due to my little brother had passed away last month. This has been the hardest thing I've ever gone through. I know we all go through many different trails and tribulations throughout our life but losing a sibling is the one that never crossed my mind even though I knew it would happen one day. He had been sick for many years and was full of life and had lived a wonderful life. I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that were and still are by my side during my healing process. Since I have now returned home and am coming back I made a card to say
"A Happy Hello"

Today we kick off a new Challenge at One Stitch At A Time Challenge 246 - Anything Goes with Leaves. So get out your Autumn Or Fall leave punches, stamps, dies, stickers or whatever you have and come join us for some fun. We want to see your beautiful creations.

I made a little card using Bugsy by Beary Dust from the StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store. She's so adorable. Here is my card. Hope you all like it. I used the TH paint and painted it around my image to give an autumn feel with sunlight in the back. I used a gold leaf pen to color her parts of her leafy crown and used it on her outfit. I used the Spellbinders Die (Decorative Labels Twenty Eight) to make the card base and used other dies from the same set to cut out the image and the gold frame. And the blue leaves and yellow flowers are card stock from Create and Craft when they were having the awesome sale last year.

Supplies:
Stamps: Bugsy by Beary Dust; Sentiment from SU stamp (found in stash)
Paper: Brown card stock and gold card stock found in stash; White cs Neenah (image); Create and Craft glitter & mirror board card stock
Inks: Copics; TH paint - mustard seed and Marmalade
Accessories: Spellbinders die - Decorative Labels Twenty Eight ; Stampin Up leaf and bird punch; sm. flower punch; glossy accents on eyes; Stickles on wings; Gold leaf pen painted on her crown & outfit.
From stash; little gems, tag and blue ribbon

  1. Oh, Deborah, I'm so sorry for your brother and for you ... When a beloved person goes to the other world, it's a terrible time for who stays... But now he isn't suffering and he's in your heart forever.
A big hug from me, dear friend!! Take care of yourself, now...!!!
Your card is wonderfully full of life and love, so vibrant and warm! Love the combo of blue and yellow/orange, it's one of my favourite colours combo, it feels peace, calm and to look far.
Bugsy is really adorable, sweet and very cute, and you coloured her beautifully!! She has a stunning 3D look with the leaves that you coloured so well!!
Your autumn background is just fabulous, it feel as an aperture from a world to another with these two frames around. And love so much the blue diecut leaves with the simple yellow flowers, they are a joy for eyes.
Many kisses and hugs from me, dear Deborah, I wish you a serene and joyful life.
